Bare Bones 1960's Motel

If you are in your 20's and artsy or a bargain seeking traveler, this slightly remodeled old motel might be right up your alley. As a middle-aged woman traveling on business, I would have checked out as soon as I arrived and found another hotel, but was too exhausted. I paid for a king bed and was given a tiny room with a double bed. Minimal effort has apparently been made to remodel in contemporary style (the bed was comfy and linens luxurious) but the room had a weird odor, the bathroom was the size of a broom closet with no counters, there was no full length mirror, and the only window was a sliding glass door onto the public balcony. There was no way to open the door for air a couple inches and lock it in that position for security, so I had to prop the luggage rack and a menu in so no one would enter my room at night. With all the young people staying there, it was thankfully quiet at night, and the location is great for a San Francisco hotel, accessible to all the sights and popular neighborhoods.

Great price and location!

I was only here for one night before flying out of SFO, but I was extremely impressed with this hotel. The price was great for the location. The room was huge for just a typical hotel room and very nice. The staff was so nice and more than helpful to give us information about the city and the best places to go. If I ever make it back to San Francisco I would definitely stay here again!
