Country Hearth Inn San Francisco Presidio

Booked at this motel, and did not regret it. We had a fun time, no problems, room was nice and clean with internet. The front desk staff were very helpful.

The management staff was good. There was an old guy at the front desk with just and white undershirt on and wearing just boxers checking us in. We found it a humor. No noise and no parking, though we did not need parking because we did not have car.

The room was spotless and cleaned everyday by noon. The motel was generally quiet. It's an easy walk to Peet's coffee and lots of good reataurants.

Normally, the rates for hotels in San Francisco are totally crazy. Does a family have $200 to blow on a hotel? Get real. So, this hotel came up in my search and seemed to have the "right price." It is very basic, has small rooms, and the breakfast is not thrilling. However, the rooms were acceptably clean, the staff acceptably friendly, and the location acceptably quiet. Plus, there were lots of Europeans staying at the hotel, so you could make some international friends if you like.

The bed was as hard as a rock. The bathroom light didn't work. There were only about 6 parking spots for the 20+ room hotel. Also you had to rent the use of the refrigerator already in the room. That was ridiculous in my opinion. The walls were very thin and we could hear almost everything going on around us.

Not in the presidio district. No place to park but on the street if you are lucky. The place was so bad we decided not to stay.

Great location, good price and quiet!! I just think I was better off sleeping on the floor, they should invest on comfortable mattress's. Liked how the cleaning staff left an envelope for tips, as a reminder!! Overall, it was good but I won't stay there again.

The people at the front desk were very nice. It was always loud in the morning as the housekeeping staff was making a lot of noise and cleaning very early.

We just drove up from South Bay for a weekend class, and didn't want to make the 1 hour (+traffic) drive at night or in the next morning. This was a short drive to Fort Mason, and didn't get in our way. Checkin was fast, checkout was faster and the room had enough room to drop our stuff long enough to get some sleep. Parking was the only complaint, we had to walk maybe 5-6 minutes from street parking when we returned after 10pm, but the neighborhood seemed safe enough. Even at 6:00 when we arrived, street parking was all that was left because those 6 parking spots go quick.

I got brief yet very useful guidance from hotel owner. It save my time and energy. With their help, I got the shuttle bus just in time. Thanks for those caring arrangments
