Great location and price but the beds....

Stayed two nights with my mom and boyfriend. Location was great. Room was clean and didn't smell. Everything in the room worked. It was also a pretty safe area. The bad things were of course parking. Had to find one on streets nearby. Our room was downstairs so you could hear the people walking around above us. The beds were pretty hard to sleep on. $3 to rent the fridge. Continental breakfast was coffee and pastries although we didn't try them. Very close to street so lots of noise but that didn't bother us. Overall, great experience.

Simple and sufficient

The room was very decent: spacious, including a table with chairs and large bed. Most importantly it was clean. The staffs' English is not too good, but they are well informed about their guests: We had booked three nights at two different booking sites, the first night payed already, the second and the third still to be paid, and the woman at the reception knew all of this. We also could stay in the same room for all three nights. The location is good, very close to the Presidio park, a bus stop in walking distance (5 min.), and the rooms are a bit removed from the street, so it is rather quiet. Breakfast was a bit of a joke, watery coffee and dry muffins (which you had to get at the reception and take into your room to drink/eat). There is a fridge in the room, yet you have to pay $3 to be allowed to use it. Altogether the place is too expensive for what you get - we stayed at some Motel6-motels in other places for a third of the price and had a nicer stay, but on the other hand San Francisco is an expensive city, and this was one of the "cheaper" lodgings in downtown SF.

There is a nice and rather cheap burger place a few minutes down the street (opposite the Walgreens). Great garlic fries!

Great for the value

Needed a quick cheap place to stay for two nights and this place fit in well with our plans due to the great location and price. Parking could be an issue if you don't have one of the six spaces located on premises. Overall, very satisfied

Reasonable place to stay

This motel was reasonable for San Francisco. One reason we chose it was parking availability. Parking was limited, as advertised, but VERY limited, so we used public transportation once we arrived. Everything about the motel was "adaquate", but just barely.

Good priced accommodation

Was unsure what to expect of this hotel after reading some of the reviews. The hotel was clean, staff friendly. Was located a little out of the main tourist area, but it was a good location near the Presidio & Palace of Fine Arts & with public transport nearby.

Good time

My daughter and I came here while visiting University of San Francisco. It met our needs perfectly. The room was very clean but it was old. The neighborhood was safe and it was right next door to the Presidio. Plenty of great restaurants in walking distance. The bus noise at night might bother a light sleeper but not us. Parking is limited but we didn't have any problems getting a space everytime.

Great Lodging!

The management staff was good. There was an old guy at the front desk with just and white undershirt on and wearing just boxers checking us in. We found it a humor. No noise and no parking, though we did not need parking because we did not have car.

Super clean!

The room was spotless and cleaned everyday by noon. The motel was generally quiet. It's an easy walk to Peet's coffee and lots of good reataurants.

No thrills, but the right price

Normally, the rates for hotels in San Francisco are totally crazy. Does a family have $200 to blow on a hotel? Get real. So, this hotel came up in my search and seemed to have the "right price." It is very basic, has small rooms, and the breakfast is not thrilling. However, the rooms were acceptably clean, the staff acceptably friendly, and the location acceptably quiet. Plus, there were lots of Europeans staying at the hotel, so you could make some international friends if you like.
