Located on the corner of Van Ness Avenue and Lombard - The World's Most Crookedest Street and at the Gateway to Fisherman's Wharf. A ride on the world renowned cable cars begins a mere three blocks from the front door with Ghiradelli Square, fresh seafood, shopping, and ferries to Alcatraz...all a ten minute walk away. Refrigerator available in some rooms. FREE high speed Internet in all rooms. Hotel is 100 percent non-smoking.

Awesome location!

Very basic & exactly what I was looking for! I wanted to spend my time in San Francisco out exploring the city, not lounging around a hotel with fancy amenities. This place was very clean, had a nice comfortable bed, in a great location (about 10-min or less walk to Fisherman's Wharf - right where I wanted to be!), fantastic rates, friendly staff, and my room on the 5th floor had a killer view of the Golden Gate Bridge. That view was a priority for me, and it didn't cost me an arm & a leg to get it! I spent weeks watching rates on hotels in the area, and this was by far the best value I found. The area also felt safe - I did a lot of walking around alone during the day & at night, and had no issues feeling safe. Another plus was the parking rate was less than what many other hotels charge - $26 instead of the $35-$50 I saw elsewhere. I will definitely stay here again, and would recommend this hotel to others!

Cafe Lombard directly across the street was a great place to order breakfast to-go! The Lombard Special omelette was delicious, and I enjoyed it in my hotel room with my beautiful view of the Golden Gate Bridge!

No Internet

The room was comfortable and quiet, however we needed Internet connection and had none. When we complained we were treated very condescendingly and were referred to a help number. With some persistence they finally sent someone to our room who confirmed that we had no signal. We were finally moved to another room with a somewhat better signal, but it was still spotty and we had to log in every time we tried to use it, which was cumbersome because the screen for the password did not pop up automatically.

Convenient and good value

Convenient location to Fisherman's Wharf and easy access to public transportation. Friendly and helpful staff. Good value.

Excellent location

This hotel was clean and the staff was friendly. Would have been nice to have a small refrigerator in the room. The location is excellent. Walking distance from many of SF's best attractions and an inexpensive cab ride from most of the others. The hotel staff was very pleasant

Great!

Good location. Good breakfast, it's clean. But parking costs much , 26$ per night, and also it's hard to park in the lot for a kind of big vehicle.

Family vacation

The staff was unpleasant. We had to pay extra for parking each night no other parking was available. The room was small and unattractive. The toilet was clogged when we got there. Location was the only good thing about this hotel.

Fisherman's wharf is only a short distance away ( walking takes a while down hills not recommended for older people or people with leg or breathing problems).

Never again.

I picked this hotel as it was close to where i wanted to be, i got there and the room was wet. cold and smelled like tobacco.. the staff were very abrupt and not really friendly and got my booking mixed up with another guest.. i doubt i will book this hotel again.

Great location/comfy

The hotel was fair to good. A little run down but clean and comfy and the location was excellent for us. Right by the wharf and ghiradelli square.
