Great location, great price
Jennalynn Oct 19, 2009
I was looking for a hotel close to the Embarcadero Center because I had bought tickets to the Punchline comedy room for my ... boyfriends birthday. I was hoping to find a hotel with at least a 3 star rating for a reasonable price. When I saw the price for Club Quarters I was a little apprehensive since all decent hotels with decent size rooms in good locations in SF are close to $200 a night or more. When we arrived I was surprised at how easy the check in was-they have quick and easy kiosks that issue your room key and no lines to wait in! We had to self park across the street but the staff was very pleasant and allowed us to take our bags to our room and come back down to move our car. The rooms were spacious which was also surprising because if one has ever stayed in the city you'd know the rooms are usually like closets. Everything was clean and quiet and there were restaurants connected to the hotel and within walking distance as well as great shopping and the Punchline across the street. We didn't have to drive or take a cab the whole weekend. We will definitely stay again and will recommend this hotel to our friends

Quietly Stylish
Ray Oct 4, 2009
I was pleasantly surprised finding a beautiful and stylish semi-boutique hotel from a blind pick online. But the staff was ... extremely helpful and attentive, even delivering (within 5 minutes) a small refrigerator that I needed. Perfect location; bar/pub and a coffee shop on the corner...all contributed to a great, if short, experience.

Great Location Near the Ferry Building
Michelle Oct 4, 2009
Hotel was great for the price especially in SF. Greeted by friendly staff. Check-in and check-out via kiosk. Was there for ... only one night. Bed was comfy. Room is a little small, but since we only needed a place to sleep, it was fine. Within walking distance to Pier 3 and Ferry Building (1/2 mile, ~10 min). Free purified water bottles near elevators, self serviced. Parking at Embarcadero Center for $32 for 24 hours, no in/out privilege. Slightly more for in/out privilege. Parking only a couple of blocks from hotel. Please note that walls are very thin. Had a couple arguing at 2am; could hear them while they were walking pass our room and continued to hear them argue once they were in their room. Their room was probably 4-5 rooms down from us. Overall, great place to stay for the price if only need a place to sleep. Would definitely stay again if in the area.

What a great place!
jtwams Sep 8, 2009
I was in SF to celebrate my 50th birthday with friends and family. I choose the Club Quarters based upon its location and ... price. When I first checked in, the room was on the interior and did not get any cell reception. This was a big problem for me. Called the front desk and they moved me to an exterior room and the problem was solved. I like that this hotel is not in the tourist areas of SF so it is very quiet on the weekends.

Great place to stay during wekdays!
Doco03 Aug 12, 2009
Visited SF to attend a conference housed in a nearby hotel. The hotel is clean, easy to get using public transportation, and ... a great location, particuarly during weekdays. One inconvenience was that I could not check-in before 12:00; although the hotel management kept my bags I could not get ready for a full day of work as I would have liked. In general, the hotel is a good value, close to several amenities, such as a restaurant/bar that is open until late and an independent cinema.

Just a few blocks from the hotel is Chinatown and the Italian area with great restaurants. Walking around both of these places complement a meal quite nicely.

Family of four was a little squeezed
Jeanne Jul 16, 2009
The hotel is lovely and the staff courteous and friendly. The suite we booked was really not large enough for two adults and ... two teenagers; the pullout couch is a single bed, not a double bed, and my two teenage daughters were none too happy about this! It really is necessary to request a cot if you have two kids over the age of five and that really makes the room too crowded. We were charged for an extra person even though I had booked for two adults and two kids. I called about this when I got home and the money was refunded to my credit card right away, but check your bill before you leave. I was in a hurry and did not. The filtered water available on every floor was a great, it kept us cool during long walks through the city. Expensive parking, just like any big city.

The room was small and met our needs beautifully. It was comfortable, clean, quiet, and no-nonsense. We don't need a big room ... as long as it is clean, the bed is comfortable, and it has wi-fi. This hotel was perfect - walking distance to everywhere we wanted to go, and had a great rate, compared to others in the area.

Super location close to BART and financial district. Felt quite safe at night and hotel was top notch. Staff was great at ... check-in and decor is very nice. Well worth the ~$110/night we paid and great for biz and personal travel. Self serve filtered water bottles (to go) in hallway, no paying $5 for a bottle of hotel water. I'd call this a 4-star hotel or maybe very high 3-star. Only complaint is walls were a bit thin but I was on vacation and sleeping till noon so I shouldnt complain :)

Quieter than around Union Square
SFweekender May 25, 2009
Quiet location in the Financial District during the weekends because the M-F hustle and bustle is not there. Unlike hotels ... in the Union Square area, Club Quarters is located right by popular area for that vacation vibe... the Ferry Bldg. shops, North Beach for the cafés, or Chinatown for the souvenirs and food -- yet without the difficulty of driving through or parking in those congested areas. Hotel lounge is spacious and has good coffee and OK internet access, both free. Kiosk check-in option and secure elevators are nice.
