A Memorable Vacation!
If you are looking for a a good priced, CLEAN hotel room with good location, PARKING, and kind personnel, I recommend you the Buena Vista Motor Inn. After a very long and exhausting flight we arrived at San Francisco and rented a car. The two non-smoking rooms we had reserved were clean and comfortable. The bed was pure heaven! I could also keep in touch through the internet service available . Breakfast was good and included fruit. Pretty close to some attractions too. We stayed there two nights as we were going on to Los Angeles and a Cruise to Hawaii. This was definitely a memorable vacation!!!

Short drive from hotel
I definitely enjoyed The Fisherman's Warf, The Golden Gate Bridge, The Crooked Street, China Town and Sausalito in addition to the boat ride that passes by the island of Alcatraz and under the Golden gate Bridge.

Great place to find the basics
We planned a brief overnight stay in the city and found ourselves immersed in Fleet Week. Our room was a fortunate accident, we were lucky enough to land a room in the front of the hotel where we could see the air show directly from our room. The rooms were clean and the staff was helpful. I would stay here again. If you are looking for a decent affordable place to rest your head, this place worked for us! Not a bad location we walked to fisherman's wharf, Ghiradelli Square and took a short cab ride to Mission.

Long walk from hotel
Fishermans Wharf and Pier 39 are the closest attractions I would recommend. These are lengthy walks, but the scenery was nice.

OK for the price
The room was very noisy, even though we weren't facing the street. The pillows were awful. I've seen pancakes that weren't as flat. The room was relatively clean, and the bed was OK. The general furnishings in the room could use some updating. The dresser looked pretty worn.

Really gross carpet and bed linens
This is one of those places where you feel like you want to stand up to sleep--because the bed is gross. But then the carpet looks scary and you don't ever want to walk on it with bare feet. Yes, there's "free" parking--but this place is much more expensive than better neighboring properties with free parking--e.g. Chelsea. I'll never stay here again.

We'll be back!
You won't find a better hotel at this price. We'll be back! Accessible to all that SF has to offer. Free parking for all guests. Who offers that? Quiet rooms on the backside. Great staff.

Poor value, would not recommend
Room was dirty and in need of some major repairs (paint flaking off wall in the bathroon shower/tub area). Carpet was dirty, and room smelled.

I Am Glad I Stayed At The Buena Vista
The Buena Vista had everything I needed! Close proximity to famous attractions fisherman's wharf (walking) Clean Rooms, comfy beds, Good night sleeps so when I wake up, I can enjoy my stay in sf. I recommend this great hotel to anyone, and I will stay at The Buena Vista again!
