Built in true mid-century modern fashion, Becks Motor Lodge is the only true hotel located in the Castro on world-famous Market Street. Staying at Becks Motor Lodge will put you in the center of the action while maintaining the feel of a distinct, and wonderful, San Francisco neighborhood – at a reasonable rate. Whether you are traveling for business or for pleasure, our spacious guest rooms provide ample space for all your needs. Our 58 guest rooms include free wireless internet access, private baths, refrigerators, coffee makers, voicemail, workstations with desks and chairs and cable TV. Our largest rooms feature working fireplaces, pull out coaches and extra-large bathrooms. For added convenience, our hotel offers a guest laundry room, 24-hour front desk, safe deposit boxes, fax service, ice and vending machines. Hairdryers, irons, and ironing boards are available upon request. Our sundeck offers lovely views of the city and a social space to relax. We also provide free parking – a huge savings and a rare find in San Francisco. Our rooms are 100 percent smoke free. Check-in is after 3 pm. Valid credit card and matching ID are required. Credit card will be authorized for full amount of stay plus USD 50.00 for incidentals. Check-out is at 12 pm. For your convenience, our front desk is open 24 hours. Beck's could be better

If all you want are the basics and ABSOLUTELY NOTHING special, then Becks Motor Lodge is not a terrible option. The motel is located on the F line streetcar stop and has a great location for the Castro district and easy access to the rest of the city, they also have free unsecured off street parking. Nothing really surprising about the rooms, since I did see the photos prior to booking,the rooms are very outdated, drafty and smell as such. The windows DO NOT lock so definitely not a place to leave any valuables if you leave your room. The check-in clerk was very nice and helpful, [...] Clearly the woman at the desk when I checked out needs more training, and a personality wouldn't hurt. The manager was called to try and correct the problem, she was not sure what to do either. At no time did the manager even speak with me or offer an apology she called someone else who supposedly can fix the problem. Definitely not a place I would choose again, I'm fine with the basic amenities, but poor customer service must be addressed.

VERY UPSET WITH BECKS MOTOR LODGE

HORRIBLE SERVICE!!!!!

Title says it all, they do not accept cash or debit/credit cards, the staff fought with me constantly about this, management called me into their office 15 times. Never announced during reservation. When I arrived they were going to kick me out! One employee let me in and management reprimanded him. Key cards frequently didn't work, bath rooms didn't have vent fans. No heat in room the night I arrived. Only $23.00 of my $75.00 deposit was returned approximately 3 months late! NEVER STAY HERE!
