Great location with a small room
The Tuscan Inn was a great place to stay. It is centered on the Warf. However, the room had very tight quarters. The pay as you go minibar also took the room that a compact fridge would normally occupy. I would have liked the fridge space rather than the minibar.

Great Fisherman's Wharf location
The hotel is maintained well with small guest rooms. Valet parking is expensive like all other hotels in San F. It's best to park and not drive while downtown. But on your way to/from downtown, drive over and around the Golden Gate Bridge to get views of the bay and ocean and walk out on the pedestrian walkway. The hotel is across the street from Safeway and close to a wide range of eating choices from Subway to gourmet seafood. The sea lions that hang out around Pier 39 close by are comical!

Short walk from hotel
Pergamino Cafe (on Columbus Ave. between North Point and Beach) is a great local spot for breakfast or lunch. It felt like a "San Francisco atmosphere"--help yourself to a mug and coffee/tea as you enter and enjoy looking at the decor. Portions are tasty and generous with average prices for downtown. Friendly staff. Great way to start the day and then get on the Hyde Powell cable line!

Loves SF
The ONLY hotel we stay in while we are in San Francisco!
My husband and I got engaged 10 years ago in SF...we stay in the same hotel every year when we go back for our anniversary celebration. The folks there had wine and roses waiting for us this year with a nice card wishing us many more years of bliss. It is 2 blocks from the wharf area, with many dining choices and a Safeway nearby. We can take many venues of transportation from there, including the street cars, buses, taxis, etc.

Nice place near the warf and trolley / BART connections
Nice hotel. rooms are small. Wine hour is a nice touch ( even though they are pouring "2 buck Chuck" from the Trader Joe down the street. But it give you a chance to mix with fellow travelers and share adventures. We had a room overlooking theinside "courtyard", so we did not have any street noise. Parking is pricey, and cars useless in SF, so forgo and use the $15 to $20 shuttel to get from the airport. we would definitly come back

Great Location, good staff and room
The location near Fisherman's Warf was excellent. Convenient to the trolley as well as bikes to rent for a short ride to the Golden Gate Bridge. Staff were helpful and one of the staff was extremely friendly, upbeat and such a happy guy. The Italian restaurant that is attached to the hotel was quite good too.

Close to Fisherman's Wharf
The Tuscan is an established, comfortable hotel overall. Unfortunately, they cleared the furniture, etc. out the lobby after the first day of our stay in order to remodel, and from there on it was inconvenient and noisy. The entire hotel is now under renovation. The staff is superb, as is the adjoining restaurant (excellent seafood). The location is very convenient , and within walking distance of Fisherman's Wharf sites, excellent restaurants and cable cars.
