Great Location, good staff and room

The location near Fisherman's Warf was excellent. Convenient to the trolley as well as bikes to rent for a short ride to the Golden Gate Bridge. Staff were helpful and one of the staff was extremely friendly, upbeat and such a happy guy. The Italian restaurant that is attached to the hotel was quite good too.

Nice place near the warf and trolley / BART connections

Nice hotel. rooms are small. Wine hour is a nice touch ( even though they are pouring "2 buck Chuck" from the Trader Joe down the street. But it give you a chance to mix with fellow travelers and share adventures. We had a room overlooking theinside "courtyard", so we did not have any street noise. Parking is pricey, and cars useless in SF, so forgo and use the $15 to $20 shuttel to get from the airport. we would definitly come back

Money-saving tip: Short walk from hotel

Eating out is expensive and the attached Italian resturant is not cheap and all "ala cart" Walk down to the Trader Joe for fresh salads and sandwices

It worked for us

Not much time was spent in the room because we were mostly out sight seeing and being tourists. The hotel staff was very pleasant. The only complaint I have (which really isn't a complaint seeing as we were hardly there) is that the room was extremely small and there was just two of us. The windows also face the street and it can get pretty noisy at times so if you are a lite sleeper I wouldn't recommend staying there. Other then that everything was just fine. If we needed to stay there again we would.

Attractions are just a short walk from the hotel. We walked every where we needed/wanted to go. Alcatraz Landing is just a short distance and the tour of Alcatraz was terrific.

Tuscan? TUSCAN?!

There is nothing Tuscan about this place. Overpriced for the room, let alone the ADDITIONAL $40 per night for parking. This place is a dive. Our room must have been originally a 40's/50's era design. Black and white, with a mirror the whole length of the room. Bed sucked. Bedding sucked. TV reception sucked. Wi-Fi signal sucked. Bathroom sucked. Food sucked (fingerprints in the butter). Food pricing sucked. The only thing that made this place tolerable was the 2 bottles of wine that we brought with us and started pounding after getting the room. The wine helped make the room disappear. One word - terrible. There is ABSOLUTELY NO HINT OF ANY TUSCAN IN THE JOINT (except for the lobby). Felt like this room should have been rented by the hour. We didn't even want to take a shower in the bathroom. There are too many other places in the area that are nicer. Facilities like this should not be able to remain open. I'd wager they don't get much repeat guests...

2 blocks off the Embarcadaro. Close but quiet.

Rooms are small but who cares. Parking in the area is pricey so don't rent a car unless you plan on going up to wine country. Free wine tasting in the lobby every night by the fireplace. (Cool) Great dinning at hotel and within walking distance. Trader Joe's just around the corner. Couldn't have asked for more. Planned our whole trip with you guy's (plane, car and hotel. Not a glitch anywhere. Or as Arnold would say, I'll be back. P.S. Hollywood Cafe, superb breakfast. John G
