Great price a but a small room
The room served its purpose. Who wants to stay in the hotel room anyway. Just a mile from Sea World. 24 hour restaurant next door that is frequented by the police so I felt safe. Across the street was the swap meet at the sports arena Sunday is the best day to go. In all had a good time.

Good and Bad
Stayed in a junior suite. Had a couch and coffee table but no computer desk or table and chairs. TV had HD channels but less than full line-up. Only about 25 channels. Beds comfy. Tub drained. Large soap bars. Tiny pillows a drag though. Parking lot very noisy. Staff continuously on the sidewalks with noisy carts of all kinds. Restaurant too expensive but food good. Fast food all over the place close by. Easy access to major roads including interstates. Sevices within walking distance. Price quite fair for urban area. On the whole - better than I expected but needed a desk badly.

It is a decent hotel
The hotel is really close to SeaWorld, and the old town. It is convenient to locate a restaurant. The room is kind of average, clean. It will be nice if it can provide free breakfast.

Disappointment
The location was great as it was near everything, especially the MCRD. Food, shopping and attractions all within a few miles. However, lots of homeless people in the area. The room was outdated and small even though we had a suite. Was stuffy and musty smelling when we would get back at the end of the day. Breezeway was fenced off construction materials. On site restraunt was business next door and food was very disappointing. Fitness center was business down the block.

Casa De Juice around the corner is a great healthy way to start the day or lunch. Also, if you rent a car getting the GPS was well worth the 10 a day. We easily navigated the whole city.

Central Location
My husband and I lived in SD for over 6 years, so we were not looking for a "resort/vacation" hotel, but something central to the airport, downtown, the beaches, and our friends. This location could not have been better! The staff was friendly and even upgraded our room to better accommodate our needs. The room was clean and had all of the amenities we needed. I would definitely stay here again on our next trip back to SD.

Good for price, except internet
The room is very good for the price. It's good value. The bed is comfortable and the room is very clean. My main complaint is the internet: it's very very slow and I wasn't able to connect to it about half of the time. So if you are expecting to do some online work during your stay, try another hotel.
