A Disappointment

Would not recommend Tue, Oct 27, 2015
The pictures are deceiving,it looked like a very nice place but was a disappointment. Nice pool - but even after requesting towels 3 times in an hour period, none were ever provided. We had drinks and a snack at the detached restaurant - nice bartender, good experience there. However, this is really not a hotel - it is a MOTEL with all room entry accessible from the parking lot rather than indoor hallways - I didn't feel very safe. The lobby looked decent when we checked in, but our room was very beat up and smelled a bit like sewage. The beds were comfortable and appeared clean The area is not the greatest, even though there are a lot of stores and restaurants all around I wouldn't have felt comfortable walking to them. Could not get the free WIFI to work.

Business Trip

Would recommend Sat, Oct 24, 2015
Nice location however stayed 4 nights and room was never completely cleaned for example ice bucket bag was never emptied and stayed with water in it the entire stay along with garbage left in room. Not the best experience. Front desk staff were friendly and the on-site store had a wonderful woman working there who has been there for years. I give her 5 stars!

First time in San Diego

Would not recommend Thu, Oct 15, 2015
Hotel was clean, but in need of updating. The MOD appeared to be stressed out and not very friendly or helpful. The door to the room would stick when trying to enter the room, thinking it must have been related to the key card unit as it didn't stick when leaving the room. The front of the air conditioning unit was falling off. Bed was uncomfortable. The one bright spot was a desk clerk named Kendra. She was very friendly and helpful. Told us all the options for getting around town and recommended places to go. Thank you Kendra!

One night stay

Would not recommend Thu, Oct 15, 2015
Another hotel would have been better. There were ants in the room. White towels were slightly grey. I didn't shower because the shower area was dirty. The hotel is outdated and needs major overhaul. It was less expensive than other hotels but not a cheap bargain. Front desk was not overly friendly but professional.

Roach Motel

It was infested with roaches and smelled horrible. Might as well had been camping in the wilderness. Will never stay there again. Should be rated a 1 star

4 day family weekend

Would not recommend Thu, Oct 1, 2015
This was our second stay and our last at this hotel. We drove 6 and half hours after my sons Friday night high school football game to get there. I had booked and fully paid for our room weeks in advance. We arrived exhausted at about 4:15 am. The young man behind the counter informed me that the room I had paid in full for was no longer available. He stated that my family of 4 would have to share a king size bed. I asked for the managers information and was told there wasn't one there. After I raised my voice and let him know that this was not acceptable he informed me that if I didn't like it I could leave. I then explained to him that he can not legally rent out a room to someone else that had been paid for in full. Suddenly our room was available. Once again there was little to no parking {which there charge $10.00 a day for}. The WIFI is a joke, I had 1 bar on the laptop and phone. The WIFI cycles on and off and can not hold a signal. The last day we went shopping in Mission Beach I bought my son an expensive name brand shirt. We stopped by our room on the way to lunch. He placed the new shirt on top his gym bag folded. We came back two hours later and the beds where made but his new $40.00 tee shirt with the tags still on was missing. BTW when the maid took it she left her cleaning rags on top his gym bag. I guess we traded. Lastly we had the family room two doubles and a sleeper. Only the front room has AC. It was 90 degrees with 80 humidity. The room didn't cool off until 1 to 2 am. This was by far the worse hotel experience I have ever had. We didn't even bother going to management when the room next door was smoking out with pot. The management is worthless and wouldn't have done anything about it anyway. At check out I asked for the manager GM one more time and was told they would be here in a couple hours. asking for management was like looking for unicorns. Neither exsist at this location. I would have rather stayed at hotel circle and saved $30 a night. This place does not deserve to call itself a Wyndham. Chris D room 390
