Western Inn Old Town

The room was a disaster. The sheets didn't look like they'd been replaced recently. There were stains on the carpet, the drapes and even the television. I was completely grossed out, but I couldn't find another hotel to stay in since it was a holiday weekend. Don't stay here.

A very basic low cost facility which was right for being close to the airport for an early morning flight. Met my needs but may not for a longer stay.

This hotel offered the a cheap price and since my friends and I were only staying one day we decided to go for it. It was located across the street from a nicer hotel which made this one look bad. It had a weird smell in the lobby(the man was nice though). Also, it offered a continental breakfast but I wouldn't give it that title. The blueberry muffin was all there was left and no milk or drinks were offered except horrible black coffee. There was also no pool which left us with little to do. I would recommend this hotel if you need it for one night only but if you need it for longer then I would suggest paying more for a better one. The beds were not that comfortable and the bathroom wasn't incredible either.

I don't think the Western Inn is a horrible place to stay while in San Deigo. And it is in a great location for site seeing in Old Town. It is right off the 5 and you can get all over San Diego quickly from this hotel. The rooms are a really nice size. We had the 2 double bed standard room. What I did not like was the hotel doesn't offer any extras. No pool, no fitness center and the rooms are in a serious need of upgrade. I think a over haul a good cleaning and painting would help a lot. The bathroom paint and tile was really bad. The carpeting thoughout the Inn - hall ways, room etc., needs to be replaced. Because there was so much need of cleaning and upgrading - you get the feeling of a "seedy" dirty feel. We kept our shoes on in our room - the carpet looked too dirty. Our trip was three days - so we spent both nights here. There are no food markets close.

Location is within easy walk to Old Town with restaurants and shopping. Facility seemed to be clean, but mattress was hard witha ridge and room was below average. Wallpaper was peeling off wall, crack in toilet, and small holes in blanket. Next time I would pay a little more for a nicer facility. Also got a surprise when i had to py $6 per night for parking.

THE STREETS ARE VERY TINY WHERE THE HOTEL IS LOCATED MADE IT HARD TO GET AROUND, AND THE ROOM DID NOT SEEM CLEAN THE SHEETS LOOKED LIKE THEY DIDN'T CHANGE THEM AND THE BATTERIES IN THE TV REMOTE WERE DEAD, THE WATER WOULD GET EXTERMELY HOT ALMOST BOILING CAUSED ME TO BURN MYSELF. THE ONLY GOOD THING I CAN SAY WAS THAT IT WAS VERY CLOSE TO OUR DESTINATION. FYI: NEEDS A RENOVATION ASAP

Freindly staff, helpful, even called me about a flash drive left in the printer and sending back to me.

I like to stay close to Old Town and this hotel is within walking distance.

It was a good location in Old Town and near Trolly and reasonable rates. Charged six dollars to park and one night I couldn't get my car into very small garage. The continental breakfast was very minimal. Rooms were big and clean.

Hotel was great the room was very clean and room was very large. Staff was great left my phone charger at home and the person at the front desk was able to found one for me which save my day.
