Vagabond Inn San Diego (Point Loma) is located on the America's Cup Harbor at the entrance to Shelter Island. Located just a few steps from the famous Point Loma Seafood Market and the Sport Fishing/H & M Landing. We are only minutes away from the San Diego Airport, the Cabrillo National Monument, downtown, the Gas lamp District, Balboa Park, the San Diego Zoo, Qualcomm Stadium and cruise ships. We offer complimentary continental breakfast and weekday newspapers. Swim a few laps in our heated pool or enjoy cable TV with HBO in your room. Some rooms have a kitchenette for your added convenience(additional charges apply). When you stay with us, we'll serve you with our own brand of Western hospitality. Good value, friendly people. It's how we do things.

Great location and price near San Diego Airport
This hotel is located 5min from airport ona very nice marina. Good restaurants within walking distance...Try Point Loma Seafoods and Pizza Nova both very good. FREE wi-fi in room with no password needed.

Point Loma Seafood located next to hotel and Pizza Nova, wood fired Pizza a short walk down Marina. Excellent pizza and try the Garden Salad A++++

This motel was clean, quiet, convenient to the airport, and close to good restaurants. The staff was friendly and the cold, continental breakfast was adequate. My wife & I have found all the Vagabond Inns satisfactory plus and a real value for the money.

Great Hotel and Location
Very nice hotel at reasonable rate for CA. In room microwave, fridge + FREE high speed internet. Location is right next to Point Loma Seafoods which has great fish and chips. Other restaurants a short walk from room. 5 minute drive from airport, 10 minutes to sea coast drive and Point Loma lighthouse.

Hotel was in somewhat sketchy neighborhood, though we had no problems and felt OK during the five day stay. Had several problems with hotel...room key quit working, room was not cleaned first day, continental breakfast was minimal, though pastries were good.

No bells and whistles, but clean
Visiting my daughter in San Diego, was looking for a bed and a shower in a clean safe place. This place was just that! If you're looking for an "all inclusive" I don't need to "leave my resort", keep looking. If your looking for an affordable room, easy traffic access close to the airport this might be the one. I'll use it again.

Fresh seafood is just across the parking lot. Not a fancy resturant but rather a fishmarket that cooks up the catch of the day for a quick lunch or dinner. Nothing short of great!

Good location, Super pricing
Upgraded when I checked in. Very courteous staff. Large clean room. Pretty quiet. The breakfast in the morning you can miss. I'm not into packaged pastries, and thats all it was. Theres lots of other places around for food. Overall, good deal for the money.

Below expectations
Our room was very humid because the door was open when we got there. The carpets must have been cleaned, but they were still wet leaving a moldy smell. Thankfully they accommodated us by moving us to a different room, but we had expected more than what we got. The room above our original room was also full of pot smokers, which made its way into our room through the bathroom. We complained to the management, but they didn't seem willing to do anything about it.

Good accommodation for the price
Just visiting one night while in transit. When our heater didn't work, we were given a better room immediately and the staff was friendly in general. Breakfast was pastries, fruit, coffee and decaf.

Super clean and nice for the money.
We made a quick trip to San Diego so my husband could go to Point Loma Seafood to buy smoked fish. Since this motel is just around the corner from there, it was very convient for us. This was the first time for us to stay at the Vagabond but we werepleased with it Good beds and clean room. They also except pets and we are always looking for that.
