Good hotel with a fair price
Loved the free waffle breakfast, the room was well equiped. Free parking, liked having a microwave and mini fridge. My only complaint was the the mattress was a little hard. I am used to a pillow top, but we enjoyed our stay and would recommend to others and we would come back. We stayed for a graduation at SDSU. Hotel is close to Old Town, Sea World and many other attractions.

Shabby, but good value
I have stayed here several times.... it has not been upgraded at all over the past two years that I know of. That said, the staff is pleasant and helpful, the housekeepers are responsive.

didn't feel comfortable
The room smelled, was old. Didn't feel comfortable, there were, I believe, some long term guests. Could hear neighbors talking all night. Didn't have room cleaned, didn't want anyone in. We had doors double locked the whole time we were in our room. Location is great, but there are many other hotels on the same street. Would not stay there again. However, the staff we dealt with were very friendly and helpful. The swimming pool looked clean and welcoming, although we didn't use it.

GREAT STAY
I always like staying at the Vagabond staff is very nice. The parking is great always can find a spot to park. Also the location is awesome.

Journeys
A bit shoddy!
I stayed at this motel a year ago - it hasn't been upgraded at all. That said, it was adequate, well located and staffed with friendly people. The TV reception is not so great - the bed is comfortable, the air con and heater works, the bathroom is clean. If you want no-frills, cheap accommodations, it will work.

nice stay
The room was clean and the staff was friendly. It was nice to have a fridge and microwave in the room. I would definitely return.
