Big, yet intimate at Gaslamp District hotel with shopping
Don't let the size of The Westin Gaslamp Quarter San Diego fool you. Though the hulking property boasts 450 rooms, the lodging experience is intimate and cozy. Many rooms have striking views of San Diego Bay. The hotel sits adjacent to Horton Plaza, one of the biggest shopping malls in San Diego. The on-site restaurant, Pinzimini, offers upscale Italian cuisine.

Delightful
Excellent facility and the location couldn't have been more perfect. Close to shopping and easy access to the trolley line. The trolley pass for $5 a day gave on and off access not only to trolley but to the bus line. Take the #7bus to Balboa Park and enjoy the day. So much to do in San Diego, we could not see it all. Definitely will come back to this hotel again. Staff helpful and the beds delightful after a full day of touring!

Short walk from hotel
Old Town and Seaport Village both a short walk from the trolley line. Great food and free museums in Old Town, Seaport village casual fun with street performers. Use the trolley pass for bus access too. Bus stops harder to locate but just ask. The #7 bus at City College trolley stop will take you to Balboa park/Zoo. It is a must see.

Fantastic experience
The stay from the moment I showed up to the moment I left was amazing. The staff was extremly helpful and very friendly. I had forgotten my stroller and the hotel actually lends out strollers!! The room service was great, and I was never disappointed with the food. The pool is a little small but it has amazing views of the city around you. It was a great place for a short vacation. I will definetely plan on staying at the hotel again!!! The only down fall was it was 32.00 a day for your car to be parked there

Will definitely go back again.Il Ultimate in service excellence. perfect location. friendly knowledgeable staff, great for an out of town guest. they always knew us by name opened the doors at valet with a smile.

I LOVE SAN DIEGO
The hotel was fantastic. Clean. Comfy. Wonderful LOCATION!!!!Staff is out of this world! Great place to stay because it's near the trolley, 24 hr cab service, bus line etc. And that is important if you are not renting a car! Horton Plaza and all the nightlife and restaurants of Gaslamp quarter! The concierge was wonderful, she was very helpful throughout our stay! I loved the hotel, best city hotel I've ever stayed in! Great pool, jacuzzi hot tub, and fitness room! Restaurant is spectacular. You can not go wrong with this hotel-TOP NOTCH SERVICE!!!!

Hotel in the heart of the action
We went out downtown and took public transportation to the beaches, Coronado, and the zoo. It was definitely all very easy to do without renting a car. This was a great hotel because it was so close to great restaurants and people watching downtown. Also walking distance to the ferry that crosses to Coronado. They had very helpful and friendly concierge!

Excellent
Excellent customer service. concierge people were very attentive. Staff at front desk, valet, housekeeping, etc. couldn't have been better. The hotel is very well kept, in a perfect location to get around San Diego.

Busy momma n gramma
Beautiful view
It was a family trip with 2 boys ages 7 & 9, the patio was perfect, we bought them Legos to put together and the patio was perfect they loved it... and it was convenient to the mall where the kids played chess and checkers in the play area...we will definitely be back.
