Nice Hotel

The $30.00 a day to park your car is extreme as well as the $8.00 they make you pay for 2 bottles of water and internet in your room even if you do not want them they make you pay this fee. A big plus was was the Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf next door.

A nice classy understated hotel

The Sofia Hotel is within walking distance of shopping, entertainment, great restaurants including their own the Currant. Brian one of the clerks working the main desk is fine example of the excellent support staff available to patrons of the hotel. Dr. Miller

A great stay.

The staff and facilities were fantastic. From the valet to the maid service, everyone was very helpful. The hotel was spotless and tastefully equipped. My only disappointment was the room size. Luckily I was traveling alone, otherwise the room would have been too small.

Short Business Trip

Only stayed two nights in the Sofia Hotel but I really enjoyed myself. It is a short walk to the great restaurants and bars of the Gas Lamp District. The rooms were clean and nice but a little small. Overall I was very happy with the hotel, the service and the amenities.

The Quaint, Yet Posh Sofia Hotel

Stayed at The Sofia Hotel on Broadway. The Rooms were a decent size and extremely clean. The comfortability of the beds were awesome! I fell asleep instantly. The hotel rooms also include refrigerators and microwaves. It is located next to The Transit Center, where you can find information on city tours, events and buses. It was located next to The Gaslamp Quarter, where all of the fun and excitment occurs!!

Sofia Hotel

My experience at The Sofia Hotel was good.Except for the faulty phone that couldnt dial out.If I got into any trouble there was a Bail Bonds/courthouse just up the street! Otherwise the stay was nice.Just that the rooms were a tad small. The bathroom a phonebooth. The bathroom sink was the first thing you see coming in.But I had a nice stay.It was clean. But small.

Cute hotel, great location

The Sofia is conveniently located on bus lines (15 minutes to the airport!), close to the main drag of the Gaslight district (restaurants galore!) , and just a block away from the open-air mall Horton Plaza. My room was small but efficiently appointed with wifi, microwave, fridge, water and coffee (free), wine (for purchase), alarm clock with music docking station, and nice towels. I never did figure out how to turn on the TV but I'm sure a call to the front desk would have fixed that. The staff was friendly and polite, and the lobby area has comfortable seating and a nice little fireplace.

Trip down history lane

The Sofia hotel is in a great location, plus it is a beautiful historic building in San Diego. The rooms look and feel brand new, however, so you can enjoy the comforts of modern living while in a historic building!
