Quick family trip

Cute and quiet hotel! Check in was quick and friendly with water provided in the lobby (which was great after walking around downtown). Very close to Horton Plaza and we were easily able to walk to the Midway and Seaport Village and it was a quick car drive to Balboa Park. The restaurant attached to the hotel was good and very friendly, even though we were travelling with a toddler. The rooms are small, so if you have kids just be aware that it can be cramped, but we really weren't in the room much except to sleep. The only problem was the toilet had a dripping noise in our room, which made it hard for my husband to sleep. Even with that though, we would stay here again.

Half Marathon Race Trip

I was pleasantly surprised when we opened the door to the room. The rooms are very small due to it being a historical building however, very well appointed. The mini-fridge and microwave were a bonus. My biggest complaint was the air condition in room was not working well. The room remained stuffy and warm the entire visit. Maintenance did try and fix it, but a few hours later it was not working again. Due to being so tired from the race, we dealt with stuffiness instead of asking to be moved. Location of hotel is close walking distance to Gaslamp and the waterfront. We enjoyed the restaurant that is attached to the hotel. Very good beignets for breakfast. Overall, a good experience. I would not recommend this hotel if traveling with children. Rooms are very small and I couldn't imagine staying in the room with more than 2 people.

Hotel Review for Sofia

The room is too small, but it is downtown San Diego, hard to say how big the space suppose be like. When take a shower, it doesn't have a door to separate it from bathroom, the water spelled out easily.

A bargain

Very nice, although small, room. Hotel overall is lovely and very well located in the business center and convenient to transportation options. One of the better fitness centers I've experienced in a value priced hotel. On the downside the wi-fi was so unreliable that it was essentially not usable. More comfortable pillows would be an improvement.
