Lost in the Palm Trees

Tropical setting, away from "city". Nighttime movies at poolside great for families. Vending machines good for snacks. The 2 restaurants were average. Ground floor older units had lovely patios. Wouldn't want to stay on second floor.

quiet, relaxing and beautiful views

From checking in to checking out we couldn't ask for a better place. The room was great with a beautiful view of the bay. Beautiful walk around bay and a good walk to Mission Beach. Sea World was in walking distance or if you would rather, there was a shuttle. The restaurant Fire Fly on the premises was fantastic, with good drinks, food and desert. We would return again and again,

The buss stops out front and an all day pass takes you everywhere from beach to zoo for $5.00. It even includes the trolleys.

Relaxing Great Location

This is my 3rd or 4th stay at The Dana and it is always a positive experience. The 2 restaurants have delicious food reasonably priced. The staff couldn't be nicer and the room spotless. I often recommend this establishment to friends and family. Can't wait to go back. Hopefully within the next 6 months.

Great Relaxing Vacation Hotel

The Dana on Mission Bay is a great place to come and just relax. The hotel rooms were very comfy and nicely arranged. The two pools and spas were nice to relax in after a long day at nearby Sea World. It was nice to have 2 sinks in the room so that 2 people could get ready at the same time. The check-in was quick and easy. Plus the hotel staff was very welcoming and nice. The only unsatisfactory part of the hotel was a couple of the restaurant staff were a little slow. Other than that it was a great hotel. The location was also very great. It's right down the street from Sea World or a 10 minute walk from the rooms. It is also about a 15 minute drive to Old Town. All and all great place to stay.

Excellent in all ways!

My older son and I was visiting my younger son. They had great things to do, and so did I. It was wonderful. The time at the hotel, and the surrounding area. Rooms were clean, and they were such gracious hosts. Pools and spa was great. Restaurants were better than normal. The water in the lobby was so good, we went there just to drink it. The night time was beautiful and the restaurant on site is enjoyable place for drinks. Great locations. Close to beaches, great walking area, play area for families or if you were a young couple. I highly reccommend this place. I will go back to. And the massage is worth the money..go for it!
