Horrible experience

I had an awful experience with the staff working at this hotel."The Dana On Mission Bay" charged my debit card with an extra 611$,a week after I left, without even informing or asking for permission. After randomly checking my bank account and seeing that,I asked them what I was charged for&their answer was "Our records show the room was occupied for 3 days after the check out date of 10-4-12."I was shocked-we did the check out on 10-4-12 and even left our 4 big suitcases for 8 hours with them at the front desk that day, because our flight to NYC was in the evening.I finally managed to get my money back, their story was obviously not true, but still,I felt disrespected, insulted and cheated.I'm never going back to The Dana On Mission Bay.I advice you to check your bank account for a few days/periodically after leaving this hotel-cause if it happened to me,it might happen to you too.

Weekend getaway

I had a one night brief getaway to celebrate my boyfriend's birthday. The hotel is some 5 miles from San Diego Zoo which we spent the day, perfect manageable drive distance after a whole day walking. The hotel is clean and has a pleasant view. Staff was kind enough to offer the marina view since they are out of one king bedroom. Very relaxing to see the marina from our room. We stayed in the hot spa for an hour before dinner...so clean, temperature was right and we felt refreshed. Found a very good Thai restaurant 5-10 minutes north of hotel, and had a romantic walk on the beach. We love the stay. Carpet on the verandah to rooms should be improved, the wood plank was exposed. Good deal to have a hotel near pacific beach at 50 percent, and nice, clean and quiet.

Amazing Honeymoon

The hotel staff was absolutely wonderful. We stayed for 7 days and because we were on our honeymoon we didn't have to pay for parking. Also we requested a King size bed because it was just the two of us, they didn't have one available our entire stay so they upgraded us to a deluxe room instead. The pools were nice and warm for the cool weather. All the staff was great. The restaurants were super yummy. Great location and close to lots of great things to do!

Good experience, a little overpriced.

Room is clean but a little too small. There is no place/rack to dry swimming suits. Location is pleasant but you need a car for everything except one beach and Sea World. Parking fee is $18 per day, should be abolished. Other than that, we had good experience. Pluses: - having fridge and microwave in the room - free access to computer in the lobby - good size swimming pools.

Hidden fees

I did not like hidden fees at the end of my stay. They charged me over $40 of parking of the the two days. When I did the reservation I asked of any additional fees and they affirmed that there were no additional fees. I did not like that at all.

Nice location!

Just stayed the night. Great location and grounds. I would come again to stay for a couple of days to enjoy the bike trails or kayaking around the bay. Room was ordinary although the bed was very comfy! Our coffee maker didn't work, the TV signal scrambled and the TV remote stopped working. I would come back though because there is much to do close by.
