ok
The hotel charged $20 per car, per day. I wanted to bring my truck so I could have the kids and mine bikes there to ride, but that would have cost another $40.00. My daughter came and that was another $40.00. I questioned at the desk and over the phone before we came and their answer was take it or leave. The parking lot was one third full and our bikes stayed home. The rooms are Motel 8 size and no place to play games with the kids. The pool was warm and clean even on a cool day.

Restful atmosphere.
We had 3 comfortable nights at the hotel. The common areas and gardens were calming and the quiet ambience is surprising considering that there were qiute a number of families with young children.

LOCATION LOCATION LOCATION!
It is centrally located for access to many things to see and do whole in San diego. It is also near the water which is also nice. I am happy I picked this hotel and would like to return to that hotel when in San Diego. The only issue I had was the fact they charge 20.00 a night for parking when that should be included in the stay as they have ample parking.

Relaxing Great Location
This is my 3rd or 4th stay at The Dana and it is always a positive experience. The 2 restaurants have delicious food reasonably priced. The staff couldn't be nicer and the room spotless. I often recommend this establishment to friends and family. Can't wait to go back. Hopefully within the next 6 months.

Soccer tournament
The room was very comfortable, cozy, we had a standard room with no view or garden. But, it was acceptable for our purpose. The jacuzzi nearby was piping hot, so dont forget your swimsuit! It was very secluded, and when we arrived firstly the bar was open. The bartender kindly offered us a cocktail, but we were not prepared to get in the jacuzzi. We did and ran to target to buy some. Whe we got back the bar had closed even though she said it would be open until 830pm. One down side with no staff person at the jacuzzi, is that on our second dip that night after a walk to check out the other pool and jacuzzi on the premises; we returned to the jacuzzi and a guest in the jacuzzi was actually smoking!! After other people arrived she put it out! But, really people she should have known better and the hotel should have a staff member supervising that area. There were children there in the jacuzzi with parents. Also, a firepit close to the second pool was very romantic. Except it would have been nice if the waitress or waiter would have offered us to order a cocktail. We have stayed at Paradise point, and it was very comparable to that stay, except the bathroom was a little more private than the Dana. But, the Dana bathroom is handicapped accessible to the TEE, with a raised toilet seat and bath chair available and plenty of room for a wheelchair, and extra rails around the toilet and tub. Very impressed with the Keurig coffeemaker and flat screen TV! The linen was extra nice as well. I would stay here again.

Horrible experience
I had an awful experience with the staff working at this hotel."The Dana On Mission Bay" charged my debit card with an extra 611$,a week after I left, without even informing or asking for permission. After randomly checking my bank account and seeing that,I asked them what I was charged for&their answer was "Our records show the room was occupied for 3 days after the check out date of 10-4-12."I was shocked-we did the check out on 10-4-12 and even left our 4 big suitcases for 8 hours with them at the front desk that day, because our flight to NYC was in the evening.I finally managed to get my money back, their story was obviously not true, but still,I felt disrespected, insulted and cheated.I'm never going back to The Dana On Mission Bay.I advice you to check your bank account for a few days/periodically after leaving this hotel-cause if it happened to me,it might happen to you too.
