Great place to stay!
This hotel is a great place to stay. Pool is awesome. Staff is very friendly & helpful. Do the valet parking. Self parking is about a mile away and some nights there is not a parking spot left.

Incredible Stay
This was the best hotel I have ever stayed at. It was an excellent stay! No complaints! The staff was tremendous, the room/atmosphere was SUPERB! They treated us amazingly and when above and beyond to solve a minor problem! Wow! WE WILL COME BACK TO THIS HOTEL!

Rent a car with a GPS and see all the spots, but make sure you see POINT LOMA FORT ROSECRANS CEMETERY. The overlook is ridiculous.

Hotel was great. Great location and great staff. I was able to rent a car there and leave it with them. Starbucks in the hotel was a plus.

Family Trip to Sea World
This hotel was great! It's a little off the beaten track...so if you dont have a car....expect a short walk to the bus station, by short I mean 5 minute walk....so wonderful! The pool is great for families and every Friday/Saturday they do movie night by the pool which is so much fun (and free popcorn). We ate pool side most of our trip....that cafe seems to be the most resonably priced and convienent. Being on the marina was our favorite part....watching the boats sail by is so relaxing and the pirate ship is fun too! We will definatly going back sooner then later!

Great hotel close to airport
I booked 5 nights at this hotel late Aug 2011 to attend a cousin's wedding in San Diego. This hotel is literally less than a mile away from Terminal 1. It is huge, and all the staff were very cordial and professional. The pool was great (not the boring rectangular ones often seen in other hotels).....much better than the pool at the Omni hotel where my cousin stayed. There was a bar with ample space and a pool table as well (never used it though so don't know how the drinks were). We rented a car from Hertz, and all the car rentals are one traffic light away on Harbor Dr. The parking rate was reasonable compared to the other hotels ($22/night compared to $35 at Omni), and it was tied up to your room key (had to swipe it each time you entered/left the parking lot). The parking lot did get full at the end of the night....not sure what one is supposed to do in that situation (I just parked on the curb). With San Diego being such a small city, it was really very easy to drive around (and fun to drive along Harbor Dr....absolutely beautiful). Def the best city in America

The Red
Great conference Hotel
I was staying in the hotel for a conference, the hotel provided a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere. The pool side bar was a great place to relax after a long day indoors, the room had a good sized balcony with a view of the marina and in my opinion the best perk I have seen in a long time was the vouchers they provide if you request to not have your linens changed every day. This is apart of their green initiative. Though the hotel is not walking distance to the Gaslamp district or some of the other attractions in San Diego, they are quick and inexpensive cab rides.

Head down to the Gaslamp district if you're looking for some live music. I was down there on a Tuesday night and several of the bars had live bands.
