No Maid Service Daily during Gator by the Bay Weekend
This was my birthday weekend and the first vacation I had in a long time. Went to San Diego for Gator By the Bay Music festival with a friend. We were two women sharing a room with two double beds and a bathroom. The room was nice. When we checked in they told us they had a green program and were not washing sheets daily. We didn't realize this meant no maid service. No daily bed making. No daily bathroom straightening or garbage emptying or bathroom supply restocking. We had to call for more toilet paper, more towels and washcloths. On a Saturday night we wanted to have a drink in the bar. It took and hour for our drinks to arrive. There was one bartender and an underaged server. The location of this hotel is spectacular. We enjoyed the pool and the outdoor hottub. The marina is really beautiful. It seemed like the HVAC system is dirty. We both found ourselves coughing in our room at night when we ran the air conditioning as though dust matter was being shot through the vents. Sheets we did get were clean, no bed bugs. Bathroom was clean. It would have been nice to have bed service but i guess that is asking too much in a state that can no longer afford to pay for maid service. The exterior of the hotel is very well kept. The smell of Jasmine flowers lined the outdoor walkway and that is very nice. My two big beefs were: it would be nice to have daily maid service for our room and they need more waitstaff in their hotel bar.

Ala Carte for Everything
Did not know parking my car would be $22.00 per night. Surprised in room movie was $16.99 each. Disappointed that in room internet will cost $11.95 per night. No place for towels sink has shelf underneath. Water pressure sad. If you teenager (too young for license) accidentally demagnetizes his hotel key card, you better be available because they won't give him a new one without you there-so don't be across town at a conference. No-not even if you ask them to note the account or give your cell phone will they be able to do it. Don't believe them that you room card will work for leaving the parking lot at 4:15 a.m. and don't think a valet will answer the assistance light. You might miss your flight. They will reassure you that the airport opens at 5:00 a.m. and you will be surprised to see everyone there at 4:50 a.m. And the cabbie was new and didn't know where to go, thank goodness I had my DROID. Quinn's was good though.

My Favorite San Diego Hotel Stay
I've stayed at the Sheraon Marina and Bay Hotel a handful of times and I keep going back because of it's elegance for an economical prize, cleanliness and perfect location at the bay. The rooms are spacious with a great view overlooking the Bay, the Marina and the San Diego Skyline. From the hotel, we have a short drive anywhere downtown where we can walk along the pier or malls. It's a perfect getaway location.

Great venue in San Diego
Stayed 2 nights and had a wonderful Marina view- perfect location and lovely, quiet hote. Love their "green" concepts and availability to opt out on maid service in lieu of a $5 food voucher. Will stay here again and again.

Relaxing Weekend
Enjoyable, relaxing stay. We had a bay view which we prefer - saw a schooner coming into port, lots of sailboats, and a cruise ship. Early the next morning saw a dolphin. Took a nice morning way along the path.
