Great Location Except for the Train
The room was very nice and the location on the bay was wonderful. The huge downside is the train that runs right in front of the hotel. The whistle blows all night and is so loud you cannot sleep. We booked the city view, I would suggest you book the bay side if you are going to stay at this hotel. There were not rooms available to move us to the bay side and even though they moved us to the end of the hotel the train noise was just as bad.

Family reunion
Celebrating parents 50th wedding anniversary and had family from all over come to celebrate with them. This hotel was right in the middle of everything. Could walk to several places: baseball park, gas lamp district, seaport village, grocery store, etc. also transportation such as taxi and trolley to beach, zoo, old town, 10 - 15 minutes. Overall, great experience. Only negative is San Diego is expensive. Be prepared to spend money!

Short drive from hotel
Don't go to old town on Tuesday night with a large party. You will have to wait a long time because it is $2.00 taco night. Very crowded.

Perfect getaway
I didn't expect such a lovely experience for my last minute vacation booking! This hotel was perfect even if I had never have left it. Short cab ride away to everything in downtown San Diego or walk, great walk along the Marina, exercising the stairs at convention center. Incredible views from hotel room amazing staff. The tiki bar, fie pits made evenings romantic tropical. The newly renovated lounge was sleek urban yet very comfortable. Staff were outstanding!
