A pleasure downtown

Having been to San Diego 10 times since 2006 I have to say this is the best of all the hotels I have stayed in. The service was outstanding. In particular the gentleman who fixed my TV reception so I could get TNT and watch the Laker game on 5/12/12.He gave me two free movies.I only got to see one.The parking and the service lot was really nice.It was worth 26.00 daily. This trip was worth it as well.

For laundry and cleaners.Take 5th Avenue after you turn right and take all the way to the end. Then take a left and you will see a laundromat and cleaners.Affordable and professional.

Easy living....

I didn't think I was checking into this particular Marriott when I arrived, but I am glad I mistakenly booked us into this grand and gracious hotel. With the minor inconveniences of interior construction and blocked lobby access from the South tower, it was a great experience. Without exception each and every employee was smiling, helpful and enthusiastic about his/her job. Service was consistently excellent within the hotel, the restaurants associated with the hotel, room service and room maintenance. Our weather wasn't optimal, but the pools and outside areas were quite enticing.

Great Location

Location is minutes from Gaslamp Area. Many restaurants, shopping, and attractions are within walking distance of hotel. Nice heated pool and hot tub. One BIG drawback was the $26.00 parking PER DAY!!! With the amount of money spent at the hotel, the least they could do is to throw in free parking. The cost to park was ridiculous!!!

Old Spaghetti Factory is a great place if you have children with you. Soup, salad, dessert all included with the meal. Richard Walker Pancake House was also Awesome!! A bit expensive, but great food. Ralph's market was nearby for snacks and pizza for the kids.

Fantastic!

Our family had a great trip to San Diego! Location was perfect - easy to get to, on the bay, Seaport Village and close to Gaslamp! Pool was great! Hotel staff was amazing! Only drawback was drawer space in our hotel room.

nice

Great hotel location n amenities, but for price I would expect a larger room. It felt like a business class room. Parking was ridiculously expensive at $26/day

Relax and Revive in San Diego!

This an excellent hotel with a great staff. All were friendly and welcoming, making us wonder if we should go home at all... on the minus side, we had a weak performance by one cleaning staff person, who did not leave cream for coffee nor the extra towels, kind of in and out quickly, not doing much. This was in comparison to the first lady who was amazing, as she took pride in work. The view costs $25 more, but if you are lucky to get the right view, it is worth it! Great touches at the check in: real fruit flavored water, apples, and most cool, the hand cream! Highly civilized! Overall, the location, facilities and service was excellent!

Best cheap foot is at the Chipolte, with excellent Mexicanish fare. There is a great Japanese place--Sushi deli--that is rather nondescript, next to an functional cinema--excellent value!
