Ok, for one night's stay
It ws ok for the one night we stayed there but the heater in the room didn't work and the blankets were as thing as sheets...made for a very cold night. My boyfriend and I were out there to watch a baseball game so it worked out as far as price and the proximity to the stadium. Just make sure to pack a blanket.

Good Value
This was a simple little hotel room that was good enough. No bugs and it was clean. Location was great, one mile from Petco park, 1 mile from Embarcadero, gas lamp.

Decent Stay
Location was great. However there was construction going on early in the mornings that woke us. All the showers in the rooms (including ours) rumbled and made a loud rattling sound that traveled into our room. So we pretty much knew when orher guests were showering. The sink was clogged and we needed it to be maintenenced. No fridge to store beverages. The bed was decent but the covers were poor. It's an ok room to stay at for a short trip.

Cheap But There Has To Be Better
Bed was horrible. Bathroom fan sounded like a jet engine. Pipes rattled. No coffee pot. Only good comment is that the staff was friendly and helpful - they probably felt sorry for the guest.

Great Location!
Inexpensive, but clean hotel within walking distance of the Gaslamp District. I'd stay here again.

Wow! Couldn't have been better.
I was visiting San Diego for a couple of days and since I was travelling alone, I was looking for a bargain. So, when I saw the location and price, I booked the Roadway Inn. The Roadway exceeded my expectations in all categories, and I'm very concerned about cleanliness, so that doesn't happen very often. The room was perfectly clean, and had nice large TV. Bed linens, and pillows were all so comfortable, the bathroom had been upgraded recently, and the heating - cooling unit worked great. The hotel staff was courteous, prompt, and friendly. I will be very happy to return to this hotel Davein future visits to San Diego.

Cheap rooms, good location, & friendly staff
The location was on the outskirts of downtown, which was really nice since downtown is overrun by homeless people. The premises were clean. Liked the layout of the parking which is inside the courtyard & not outside on the street. No valet service, but I can live with that. Staff was friendly. My only complaint is that the room was too damp & it smelled musty.

Nice and cheap hotel in Downtown!
Good location! In the San Diego's Downtown. Nice hotel, with an old TV, and a poor wi-fi signal

Great for the price
