The two-story Ramada Conference Center San Diego is situated in the heart of downtown San Diego, just minutes from most of the attractions in the area. Nice Hotel.
Overall the hotel was nice the pool clean and was very close to freeways, thus easy access to all areas of downtown San Diego and the Marina's. The only downside was while at "Proud Marys" the in-house restaurant / bar overheard the cook / manager make a rude comment to one of it's bartenders (in essense called her a "B") very unprofessional and shocking....I hope she file's an action against him.

Stayed at this hotel 2 nights. Despite the location, the rooms were clean and comfortable. The area was dimly light which made it scary to enter the room at night. Once in the room you feel ok. This is good for a last minute or only option hotel. If your on a budget, this hotel is fine.

Decent stay but not thrilled with cleanliness
Overall i wasnt too pleased with the cleanliness feel of the room. Upon my arrival i inspected the restroom as i always do and found a wet washcloth on the floor next to the toilet. That made me question the cleanliness of the rest of the room. Staff was helpful and nice though. Probably wouldnt stay here again. Personally i prefer interior corridors and this hotel didnt have such.

Upon arrival they place a $50.00 hold on your card and stated it would be refunded. But they couldn't tell me how long the wait would be to receive the refund.

I chose the hotel because of the pictures and thought it was more modern. I can tell they did some upgrading. It was ok. My only real beef was having to walk through a dark alley to get to my room which was facing the pool. They could seriously put some lights there. And having to pay over nine dollars for the breakfast buffet was bogus. Otherwise, it was a decently priced room with a comfortable bed. I give five stars for the pillows: big, firm but not too firm, and plenty of them!

Room did smell like paint, but it looked good, not as good as the pictures. We got a lower level room right next to the parking lot. Great as you only had to walk 10 feet to get into your room. Older room inside, but was perfect location, close to freeways and short drive to the beach. [...]had an error on the hotel discription, said breakfast buffet was included. It is NOT, extra cost for that. Lucky I printed the sheet off and brought with me, they did extend the offer to me, not without discussion. Friendly staff, clean grounds, well kept up. I would stay there again. Not for the regular rate, but the [...]rate was budget friendly. Thanks Ramada Kearney Mesa

Szechuan Mandarin Chinese, on Mission Gorge Road in east mission valley, best with huge portions. Great food. Also In & Out is only a few miles away. Eat Mexican at any Roberto's.

Great Hotel
The room was clean comfortable and quiet. There were a few cooties in the shower region, but for the most part it was cootie-free. I would definitely stay there again.

The entrance to the freeway to Qualcomm Stadium, dowtown and the beaches is directly across the street.
