Ramada Inn & Conference Center San Diego

[...]If you get a second floor room, note that there are NO elevators. Chances are really good that your room will face the highway, and so remember to bring earplugs if you want to sleep. The place is a bit old, but the room was clean, and highway access to 163 and 52 is convenient. Breakfast would have been 6.95 extra each morning. So overall, a 1.5 star experience, and the room certainly should not cost more than about thirty or forty bucks a night.

I was traveling to San Diego for a short trip. The hotel was reasonably clean and safe. Everything worked the way it should. The hotel food was a little overpriced for the quality but convenient. Overall, it was a decent hotel for the price of the room. I wasn't overly impressed with the staff and their willingness to help answer questions.

I went to a winery in Temecula, went shopping, movies, out to dinner, and to the aquarium. The hotel was much better compared to the last time I was there.

We booked a room in this motel based upon a combination of a reasonable price and high ratings from previous users. We were not disappointed. The motel not only has a lot to offer but the staff takes the extra effort to be sure your stay is enjoyable. It has become our motel of choice in San Diego.

I thought this was a great hotel for a great price. The location near the freeway was noisy when the door was open but quiet in the room. The bed was extremely comfortable. I liked that it had a fridge and microwave. The room was large and tastefully decorated. I prefer a sink and coffee service outside the bathroom so that was the only inconvenient part. Online service was pretty good. I would stay again for the price.

We drove in about two hours after the check in time, but the staff was great and it was a guick check in. Once in the room I was surprise and in love with it. Everything was great! I was glad to see that the Ramada cares about the enivroment. Their morning all you can eat breakfast was great and low priced. The only that I would of changed would have been a bath tub, at check out I was told that I could of asked for one. So maybe that should be a choice when booking, but next time I go to San Diego I will stay there again.

I've never stayed at Ramada before and thought that this would be another cheap motel among all the other INNs you can find on every corner in every city. I was pleasantly surprises with the size and interior of the room. More than that if it says NO SMOKING it means NO SMOKING - there was no smoke odor inside and housekeeping kept it very clean on daily bases. This particular Ramada is located right at the intersection of two major highways in San Deigo, but you couldn't hear any traffic noise inside and it was conveniently located within minutes drive from all the major local attractions. The absolute best part about it is there's a fridge and a microwave in the room! Free WiFi too.

The hotel looked overall inviting. It's location is fantastic! Very easy to find off the highway. There are a variety of stores, restaurants, pharmacies, etc., close to the hotel. It's close enough to major streets that makes it easy to find one's way back. It was at a perfect distance from Qualcomm Stadium, which was the reason for our trip. I liked how the guests' parking lot is not seen from the main street and is well lit. The mini lawn infront of the rooms really made a "home" like feeling. The room size is great. The room has all one really needs. Closet room space is perfect. There are sufficient lamps inside the room. Overall cleanliness was good. The room was well supplied (towels, pillows, toilet paper, etc.) I wish the staff was a little more friendlier. We were visitors and unfamiliar with the area, I would think they would be a little bit more friendly. Unless one addressed them directly, there was little to no contact even when walking past them. I would have liked the staff to have made an effort in talking about their restaurant, or pool. They did give us a welcome call and let us know we could ask them about anything. It was in a "you ask" basis. The first night was rather uncomfortable because the ac wasn't as cool as we'd like it to be. We did not address this to the staff because we liked the location to our room. Also, the bathroom fan wasn't working properly. It was very slow and it was "pausing" while it was turned on. The noise from it was very annoying. Even after showering, we wanted to leave it on so it would slowly vent the bathroom but the sound was so annoying that we would turn it off. The refrigerator was a good size but again, the first night it wasn't as cold as it should be. I'm not sure if both the AC and the refrigerator worked better the second day or if we got used to the temperature. Was it enjoyable? It was nice for the price we paid. Unfortunately, we expected just a little more because of the reviews, descriptions and experiences.
