Perfect mid point from downtown and the beaches. About 5 min. Updated clean comfortable rooms with flat screen TV. Complimentary breakfast was great! Very low price with amenities and services of a more expensive hotel.

It is the smallest hotel room we have ever seen (12x12) and stuffing it with table and chairs so you cant walk around specifically to the bathroom in middle of night, doesn't make it feel any bigger! Faulty wiring (electrical outlet plug and spliced/taped cord to loud mini fridge; hope it doesn't catch on fire while sleeping! Mildewed smelly drapes, no place to put your luggage and a cheap outdated Magnabox T.V. from the 90s. Complementary breakfast including imitation eggs, make your own waffles, which was interrupted by power overload. The police were a few doors down on a fighting/disturbance call...which is not the hotels fault but not such a good thing...It was overpriced for the value; $39 is what it should be.

The hotel was quiet. Close to the freeway and 15 min. from downtown. Nothing close to get something to eat. that was ok because we had a car.

The front staff was not as pleasant as I thought they should be. They seemed more occupied with everything but me. The garbage outside the room was full and not emptied in days. The microwave oven in the laundry room was disgusting and not cleaned for months.I spent the whole week there and I'm a frequent visitor to San Diego. I was hoping this would be a hotel I would use often. After my stay at this hotel. I will look at other hotels when I visit San Diego.

We had read some of the other reviews and weren't sure if this was going to be a good fit. However, we only have two main requirements: Clean and Safe. When we checked in the Bullet Proof Glass protecting the Front Desk was a little unnerving, but our room ended up being on the 3rd floor and they had several security cameras, so we were satisfied. This was a great hotel for the price, especially with the included breakfast. Location was awesome because you can get to many of San Diego destinations with quick access to I-8, but quiet enough to not hear traffic noise at night. The room was small, but clean and we were happy.

Frankly, I was highly disappointed. I walked to my room, passing several smoking loiterers. There was an open gallon of water sitting on the ground near my door. I walked inside and there were flyers and the info binder on the floor. The beds were made but towels and the shower curtain were laying on one bed. The smoke detector was disabled and sitting on the desk and there was no shampoo in this or the room I ended up staying in.

Helpful staff, but very small rooms. Convenient location, close to old town.

We had a very nice time. Very good hotel. I would go there again and we enjoyed the free full breakfast.

It is an older hotel, but it was fine for a couple nights. The walls are thin, so we could hear everyone outside and the people in the room next to us. Some of the other guests were quite loud late into the night and very early in the morning. The beds were ok. The bathroom looked a little newer, but the room could use some remodeling. The breakfast was ok. It didn't have a large variety, but it was enough to get going in the mornings and save some money.
