Hotel was OK
The motel was older and looked like it needed some updating, but this was more than made up for by the very friendly and helpful staff. The front desk and housekeeping staff went out of their way to be helpful. The room was quiet and bed was very comfortable. Great air conditioning. Once checked in, I found that everything was fairly up to date. Breakfast was good but they ran out of food and it was not replaced.

Nice hotel!! San Diego trip 7 2010
...Nice hotel. A bit too far from the place and friends were I was hanging out BUT close to the highways and not to far away from the airport for a cab. Closest Starbucks, grocery store, etc was about a 10 dollar cab ride way..that was sort of inconvenient...but all in all.... 9 on a scale of 1 to 10.

Not bad, rough part of town
Besides soem rough people using the motel for questionable activities, it's affordable and close to things on the south end. Not bad rooms, etc

Quality Stay!
Good location and close to the Zoo, Balboa Park, Mission Bay and LegoLand. The manager was very helpful. We booked a 3 day trip but they let us book a 4th on short notice and kept us in the same room.

HORRIBLE
DO NOT STAY HERE ! The room had mold, so did the other three that we looked at. Due to the odor and allergies we did not stay the night.

Staff was very personable. Room was a good deal for the $$$. Cont. Breakfast was good, but more fruit would have been nice (had only 3 oranges & nothing else). Centrally located if you are visiting in the South Bay area, and some what near downtown, Sea World, Zoo, etc... Location was hard to find initially, better directions would be appriciated. Matresses were newer but hard. Parking stalls were way too narrow (had to climb thru hatchback to get into car the next morning). But overall, it was a good value.

Not TOOO Happy
"The good, the bad, and the really ugly"
(The GOOD) Complmentary breakfast and the cleaniness of the rooms were alright.(The BAD) The ac unit breaker kept going off in the middle of the night, waking up in a sweat.The room was paid for inadvance the motel required a $100.00 deposit. The lame excuse was for room service.(The UGLY) My rental car was broken into. When ask were was the manager, reply was " He's off today". No one seemed to know what to do to help. As if this type of thing happens all the time at the motel.

Great forr your money
The I5 WAS VERY COMFORTABLE, THE LOCATION WAS A LITTLE OFF AND NOISY BUT, THE ROOMS ARE VERY BIG AND CLEAN THE STAFF WAS GREAT, THERE ARE MANY CLOSE RESTAURANTS AND VERY CLOSE TO NAVAL BASE, SEA WORLD AND THE TROLLEY WITCH SAVES YOU MONEY ON GAS, THE TROLLEY TAKES YOU TO THE TJ BORDER OR ALL THE WAY TO DOWNTOWN SAN DIEGO OR FURTHRER IF YOU NEED TO
