Paradise Point Resort & Spa is located on a private, 44-acre island in Mission Bay, minutes from Sea World and the heart of downtown San Diego. The resort features more than 450 beach bungalow-style guest rooms amid a lush tropical garden life. Other highlights of Paradise Point include a white sand beach, five swimming pools, an on-site spa, an 18-hole putting course and a marina with boat rentals. Guests can choose from three different on-site restaurants, though Baleen San Diego is by far the most sophisticated, serving fresh seafood.

My review of Paradise Point Resort & Spa

The breakfast served at the outdoor restaurant was outstanding. The take-out food we ordered on the second evening (wings, shrimp, burger) was not of great quality. The burger was too rare (asked for medium) and the wings were too heavily coated with sauce.

Average Stay for Rates

We recently stayed at the Paradise and had a pleasant stay. The room was nice but the bathroom was small, out-dated, and had limited ventilation. You had to shower with the door open. All the outlets were loose, so it took some tricky balancing when trying to charge your phone or using any styling appliances. The atmosphere is private, not your typical hotel feel. The grounds are kept quite nicely and you can enjoy your stay there by renting a bike, walks, etc. You are charged per day for the amenities, so unless you are planning to use them, it is not worth the price. For families, there are plenty of things to keep the kids busy,. I would only stay there again if it was not < 150 per night.

The hotel was very nice. The grounds were perfectly manicured. When you drive up, it feels like you are entering Jurassic Park. The place is huge.

Sightseeing tip: In Hotel

Well i got a good deal on this resort, but their are not many attractions in the resort that could compete with mission bay's. This place screams cool resort, the grounds are like no other and you feel that the minute you step out of your car...Your on an Island...in the city.

Relaxing College Spring Break

It was amazing how beautiful the resort is and what it has to offer! The staff were VERY friendly and accommodating. I came with a friend for a relaxing spring break vacation and I would definitely come back again! The only downside is the food. It is a bit expensive and if you were to go eat somewhere else, you would have to walk/drive off the property. Seaworld is walking distance. All in all, it was a great vacation!

beautiful place, not good service

the location is perfect, nice and peaceful place to stay. BUT night staffs(front desk/phone) are not as good as morning staffs. they don't know how to talk to their guest politely. so if you have any question, just go front desk or call in the morning or during the day time. morning staffs are so much nicer than night staffs.

Ants...but the staff handled it...

So when you check in you are overwhelmed with how beautiful the lobby and grounds are. Our original suite was beautiful as well, but we found ants in the kitchen area...which doesn't surprise me given the lush naturey grounds...but it became a problem. The staff came quickly and since they couldn't fix the problem gave us an upgrade to a different suite. The rest of our stay was perfect. The staff was amazing. More of a family spot and very close to rest of tourist destinations in San Diego. If you do rent a car, be weary of the daily parking fee!
