Dine at one of two waterfront venues, then relax and refresh with a signature Balinese massage at the plush spa. Secluded yet centrally located, the resort is minutes from top attractions including Old Town, the San Diego Zoo, and Gaslamp District.

  • 18-hole putting course
  • Relax in the sun on a white sand beach
  • Located just minutes from Sea World
Rooms

Paradise Point Resort & Spa offers 462 rooms, including 65 bayside suites. All accommodations are bungalow-style, meaning every guest gets a private patio, typically with a garden or bay view. Decor in Paradise Point's rooms is Balinese-influenced. Each room comes standard with a flat-screen TV, outdoor patio, MP3 docking station and an ironing board. High-speed Internet access is available (fees apply). Pets are welcome (fees apply).

Features

Resort accommodations don't get more private or exclusive than the Paradise Point Resort & Spa. The property is situated on its own island--a 44-acre rock in the middle of Mission Bay.

Guests receive complimentary access to a number of amenities when they stay, including the private white sand beach, five pools, a state-of-the-art fitness center and an 18-hole putting green (fees apply). The resort boasts a private marina with sailboats, jet skis and kayaks for rent (fees apply). The Spa recreates a number of treatments from Hawaii, Fiji, Bali and other exotic island destinations.

Five on-site restaurants offer dozens of choices for meals. Tidal, by far the fanciest, specializes in seafood. The other three eateries, Barefoot Bar & Grill, Caveman Pizza Company and Tropics Cantina, offer casual fare in a relaxed environment. After a full day, patrons unwind with drinks while taking in coastal views at Bayside Lounge.

Dirty Rooms

Had the worst experience as the room was dirty, beds were super hard, and the noise from joining room was loud as the walls have no sound barrier. Could have stayed at Motel 6 and saved $300 or more.

Always taken care of

We love staying at Paradise Point. We are always taken care of. We stayed during Easter weekend which was VERY busy. We had to check in later than expected due to rooms not being available when we got there, but they made the inconvenience up to us. We also saw a sneak peek of the room remodels they have on deck for the end of this year - gorgeous! So excited to stay here again!

Overpriced for a worn-down hotel

I was disappointed with everything except the location of this resort. Some of the things we encountered: From small things like no resort info in the room and tennis courts where all the lights were all burned out, to major items like having the sewer plugged in our room where they had to remove the toilet and snake out the drain (tracking sewage throughout our room). Also, fire alarm going off early in the morning on our last day. Having to pay $32 extra each day to be able to park in the marked spot outside the bungalow was disappointing as well (nobody else could park there, so why do I have to pay for the assigned spot?). In general, not a good value but centrally located to the things we wanted to see in San Diego.

1st visit to San Diego

Would not stay at paradise point again. You are charged $35 per day to park not in the spot close to your door that is big enough for a mini cooper. Couldn't open the doors on our tahoe. Also a $24 per day charge to use the amenities but had to pay in addition to play miniature golf. Barefoot bar has good food but pricey. The best thing was the water taxi to seaworld. Have stayed in very much nicer places for much less. Super 8 has cleaner rooms.

Fantastic Family Getaway

This resort is amazing! We could only stay one night but we wished we could stay longer! There are a ton of amenities and things to do if you want to stay on site. We will definitely be back and stay at least a week!

Lovely resting place

You could check into Paraise Point, stay a week without leaving the grounds, and have a stellar vacation. Yummy restaurants, beautifully landscaped grounds and multiple pools make it a relaxing spot. The staff is very friendly. The rooms need a paint job and a good cleaning in the showers and beware that food is expensive.
