historic or just dated?
We were there thinking it will be spectacular. It looked worse than our first apartment complex. The lake view was of gulls, ducks, muck and moss covered rocks. The birds were noisy!! The room was tiny and the TV reception was very bad. The whole complex could use a scrub down with bleach and a paint job. I think we will book a Hyatt or Hilton next time. The only good thing was proximity to Sea world. Then again San Diego itself is tiny so most hotels will have decent location.

Paradise Point
As I needed to mix business with pleasure I was very appreciative that wireless connections were complimentary. I also believe that fitness amenities should be complimentary as well and they were. The grounds were impeccably kept and there was a beautiful view anywhere in the complex. I would recommend this hotel highly.

Great hotel. Nice location with beautiful views of the bay and the marina. Barefoot bar was very good and food above average. Did not eat at the restaurant, as the conference I attended supplied most meals. Food for conference supplied by resort was above average. Highly recommend!!

Fabulous resort, fabulous people
My wife & I made a spontaneous decision to go to San Diego. In our web searches, we found Paradise Point. We made the reservation at 7:30PM and were in the room by 10:30PM. All of the staff, from the front desk manager to the bell service staff were extremely warm, inviting and helpful. The resort is absolutely beautiful, with private beaches & fire pits, a bar & restaurants, beautiful pools and a neighborhood feel. We felt instantly comfortable and relaxed. Although we only spent 1 night, we will certainly return. Such a magnificent place and the people make it so.

Great Honeymoon Spot!
My Wife and I went here for our Honeymoon and had a great time! There are a lot of reviews about Paradise Point that shed some negativity on their cleanliness and what not, and I wanted to first comment on that. The resort is older and as a result has an older smell and feel to it. That being said, all of the rooms we saw were all updated and looked very nice. We had an excellent stay and you cant beat the location and privacy this resort has to offer for the price. We ran into multiple families that frequent this resort on a yearly basis. My wife and I were just a $20-25 cab ride away from downtown, gaslamp district, uss midway, little italy, old town, coronado ferry, and much more. We had such a blast traveling around San Diego. My biggest complaint about the resort would be their restaurants. They have 3 on site, however, their menu was not as large and basic as I would have preferred, that being said, the food and room service was still very good and reasonably priced for a resort. All in all this was a STRONG 4/5 resort and a 10/10 vacation! Cheers!

Take a taxi to the Coronado Island, and rent some bikes (only $7/hour) and bike over to the Hotel Del. It is a beautiful hotel on a private beach and we enjoyed a beautiful brunch breakfast buffet.

Expensive Getaway!
The first room we were put in had an excessive amount of mold on the ceiling, the second room we were put in was much better. The management was very helpful with our move. If you plan on staying here be prepared to open your pocket book, there was a "Passport to Paradise" fee of 15$ per night for amenities like, telephone, internet, basketball, tennis. This fee is mandatory, also you have to pay 28$ a night for a tiny parking spot. Both of our rooms were not cleaned to our satisfaction, if you walked on the floor barefoot your feet would be quite dirty. The grounds are beautiful, and the main pool is nice, the other pools are on the small side. Also if you plan on going on the beach then you better book a bayside bungelo, otherwise you will have to bring your own chairs. The restaurants are super expensive, I would not recommend staying here because the value just is not there.

a getaway
Everything at this place was AWESOME from the location, grounds, pools and places to eat. We stayed for 4 days and the only issue we had was one time at the Baleen from the hostess named Ashley. She was pretty rude when we were asking about sitting by the windows. She stated "we might get a large party in that would like to sit there!" Made my husband and I feel as if we were not good enought being just the 2 of us. We were there celebrating our 15 year wedding anniversary. Other then that perfect place for couples young and old with or without children.
