problems
First night: No phone. They did fix next day. Second night: I arrived back from daughter's and 12:00am. Severe water leaking from the ceiling in the bathroom! Had to change rooms at 12:30am! Third night, in new room, NO HEAT!!! Fourth day returned later that night and had a space heater in my room!! They did not have the part to fix it until the next day. Asked if I wanted to change rooms. Said no but knew I would NEVER return. The staff was very friendly. If you were just an overnight guest it would be fine but staying 6 night was very uncomfortable for me. They need to pull out carpeting and update rooms!

Best value for location
Fantastic location! Very large room 20 seconds from the boardwalk & beach. Small kitchenette in room, friendly staff, pool! So close to the heart of PB. Everything is a walk or bike ride away.

My girlfriends and I were looking
My girlfriends and I were looking for a convenient and inexpensive place to stay in PB over Memorial Day Weekend and Pacific Shores Inn was perfect for what we needed. The bathrooms could have been a bit larger, and our sink clogged up a bit, but the location is fantastic (quick walk to the beach) and very close to all the bars/restaurants. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The price could have been a bit lower considering the amenities, but it worked out well considering the high travel weekend. Would definitely stay here again and would recommend to anyone who is looking for something easy and friendly.

Great location for the price
This hotel is not the Ritz, but if you're looking for an almost on the beach accomodation for a resonable price this is it. The rooms are clean and comfortable and there is daily maid service if you need it. Walking distance to everything in Pacific Beach and only 1/2 blk from the sand.

You will not stay long there
I reserved a smoking room; they did not have. They offer a continental breakfast; this consists of some bagels and you have to eat them standing at the front desk

Wonderful Location
The staff was very friendly and helped when ever we needed information. The 24 hour coffee was such a nice treat. We loved being so very close to the beach. The location was perfect for walking to food, drinks and the beach. Loved the beach cruiser we rented. I think this hotel was such an extraordinary value. We plan to stay there again.

Pacfic Beach Bar and Grill. Amazing nightly specials. Open air patio with heaters, pool tables great service. We ate there several times over the week we were in the area.

This is a modest, solid little
This is a modest, solid little Inn in a great location. I was there during a record storm, resulting in parts of trees in the swimming pool, outdoor furniture blown off the balcony, and nearby flash floods. Some parts of the complex were sandbagged to prevent flooding, but our room was on the 2nd floor with a peek of the stormy ocean. As a result of the weather it was difficult to enjoy the outside amenities and the great location (just off the beach) as I might have otherwise. The room itself was OK, but understably I felt trapped there. The heater in the room did not work, but the desk, in an effort to be accomodating under difficult circumstances, provided us with a portable heater. I'd like to return in better weather. Free parking was nice in this area, where parking is generally at a premium.
