Marina Inn & Suites

Stayed at this hotel for two nights prior to going on a cruise. It is in a central location near harbor area, cruise port, Little Italy section, airport, USS Midway. Room a little small, but well kept. Staff was very courtious. As other reviews say, walls are thin and intersection of Pacific and Grape is very busy and NOISY. Planes landing at airport are very close as well, and very LOUD. Would stay here again for a day or two. However earplugs would help.

I went with my son to see the Dodgers/Padre game. Location was close to everything, but I heard every plane, train, and automobile that went through San Diego! Parking was miserable, we had to park 2 blocks away!

Stayed here a night with friends to go to Padres games. Clean rooms and friendly staff. There are trains that go buy at night and it is close to the airport so there is definitely noise. If you're a light sleeper I'd look elsewhere. About a half hour walk through downtown to the ballpark. Otherwise, great experience! Go Padres!

Convenient for I5 and airport means on a busy road junction and close to the runway which, with an ill-fitting door opening direct to the street, meant a noisy night. I was given a disabled person's room (perhaps that's all they had left) so that meant an enormous bathroom, leaving no room in the bedroom for a wheelchair to turn, so what's the point of bulding it like that it? On the plus side, it was easy to walk to the riverside and downtown, and the aircon was efficient at drying my clothes after I got caught in heavy rain.

Well... It was pull in park and the room opens to the outside... I was hoping for an actual hotel with a lobby... That ios my fault, the rooms were updated and comfortable... The price is right and was 2 out of 5 stars for me,.

I needed NON Smoking and they only had smoking rooms when I got there, BUT THE NICEST GUY sent me to the PACIFIC INN next door, and I had a clean, quiet non-smoking room there for the same price... just doesn't get any nicer than these people. I could walk to Anthony's Fish Grotto, and to LIttle Italy pizza... Only reason it doesn't get a 5-Star rating is the railroad track nearby, the Amtrak whistle at midnight was a bit off-putting.

Booked two nights and gladly forfeited the second. The Marina Inn, San Diego is constructed in an 'L' and stands two stories which is best suited to capture the sound of two very close major roads,the signal and warning blast of light rail across the street, low landing airplanes, and nearby ship horns. The old structure emits loud creaking of above floors and the over all experience lasted until 3:30am and began again at 6:00am. This motel is a must stay for deaf dwarfs and sound junkies. [...]

Everything was correct at a fair price. This is a motel so I didn't have extreme expectations. It had a good location, our room was clear and relatively new-furnitured. The "breakfast" (muffins, boiled eggs, cereals, milk, orange juice, coffe, tea) has been served up at the reception desk and we had to eat it standing or in our room.

the staff was friendly, room was clean. we did the zoo and some shopping while there. I didnt like the fact that I had to put down a deposit of 50.00 that I am still waiting to be refunded to me.
