very friendly and helpful, but could improve on parking

The Manchester Grand Hyatt San Diego is a very clean and friendly hotel. The pub next to the lobby is a great place to sit back and enjoy a cold drink after arriving in the evening. The rooms are clean. The beds, pillows and sheets together are so inviting plus extremely comfortable. The only place that i saw that needs improvement is with the parking. Not where you park because that is a parking garage attached to the Manchester Grand Hyatt San Diego, but having to pay $20 in order to park on their premises while staying in their hotel. Most places that you stay comp the parking. It's not the amount of money that bothered me. Just the feeling of not being a true guest.

The Gas Lamp District is a short walk away from the hotel. If you enjoy Italian Cuisine you must try Asti. It's an incredible, authentic and delicious Italian restaurant that specialises in rissotos and meats.

THE HOTEL IS IN THE BEST LOCATION TO WALK TO MARINA, SHOPPING CENTER AND OTHER WATERFRONT LOCATIONS. THE FOOD AT THE BUFFET AT LELAS WAS FIRST RATE AND OUTSTANDING. EVERYONE SEEMS TO BE HELPFUL IN ANYWAY THAT THEY CAN. A PERFECT TRIP FOR US.

Great getaway to downtown San Diego

Great hotel to explore on foot the gaslamp area as well as the baseball fields. With the trolly and transit systems right there after a bit of experience you could get anywhere in town for little cost.

Very Nice Hotel

Overall very pleasurable experience. Concierge was very helpful but information she could not find for me I found in less than 5 minutes once I got home about another pizza restaurant I saw on the food channel. Other than that the hotel was very nice. The boardwalk outside the back door is terrific.

Very good stay

The Grand Hyatt San Diego is an excellent hotel in a great location. On an overnight trip to watch the Red Bull Air Races I decided to stay at the Hyatt. The room was great with a great view of San Diego and San Diego Harbor. The staff was excellent, and the hotel is beautiful. The only negative is that the races are sort of a party weekend, and the 4th floor pool has a great observation point for the races. The crowd in the hotel was very young adults and there was a lot of partying. However at about 9pm on Saturday, all noise disappeared so I feel the hotel might have taken action. I would have called if it was later that night, but was glad when ever some one did slow the partying. I would stay there anytime.

Sightseeing tip: Short drive from hotel

Drove out to Pt. Loma, a great view of the bay and the city. This is a location with two lighthouses, a National Cemetery and a monument to Cabrillo. A good trip for someone who wants to see more of San Diego. The hotel is also very close to the USS Midway, an aircraft carrier museum: Petco Park the home park of the San Diego Padres: the Gaslamp District, a party type atmosphere: and other attractions all within walking distance. Enjoy

Located in the Seaport Village

This hotel was great and located in the quaint community of Seaport Village. Lots to do within walking distance or taking the trolley from across the street. Just across from Coronado Island, great views. The top floor is a must!
