La Quinta Inn San Diego Scripps Poway

easy access of the freeway. confortable bed and great place to stay for a night or two!

I was not expecting anything outstanding, but the staff was extraordinary and customer service oriented. I checked in and went to the room, the front desk person called to make sure that everything was to my liking.

We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights while visiting San Diego. We chose to stay out in Rancho Penasquitos because we had family close by. This room did the job, without any frills or extras. It is by no means fancy, the rooms were a little outdated but clean and comfortable. The breakfast was nice and there were a variety of choices. I didn't get a chance to try out the pool, and there was no hot tub. The location is not far from downtown San Diego (about 20 minutes north in light to moderate traffic). The rooms are outdoor-entry, and we were able to get a smoking room by request.

Just needed a place overnight from the drive. Rooms were spacious and very clean. Service was good. Breakfast was a bit chaotic as the dining area is very small but overall stay was good

it was nice that the hotel was so close to an Ihop and mcdonalds and a couple gas stations. it was also very clean. we had no issues with road noise at all being so close to freeway. plus it had vending machines (we had a 3 year old with us so snacks are always welcome lol) also the continental breakfast was great!

The hotel was great. The breakfast in the morning was far better then most I have had.

The good: The bed was terrific. The cleaning ladies were efficient. There is a starbucks next door and an Ihop. The bad: The cops were on site more than once and I stayed for 4 nights. One night I was awoken at 1am to an argument folowed by a splash in the pool which was immediately followed by a blood curdling scream. I thought someone fell or was pushed over the balcony. In any event, my normal checkout was the next morning so as I walked the balcony to load my car I nearly walked into a puddle of blood. So obviously someone was assaulted. When I handed over my key and mentioned the blood, the receptionist said she already knew about it and she said those responsibile were asked to leave. My concern is that the blood had not been barricaded or blocked with something while waiting for it to be cleaned. The assualt is not the fault of the hotel so I can easily see past that, but not cleaning up the blood quickly or at least coning it off so that people do not step in it should be a lesson learned for this hotel.

it was overall great the first night it was very noisy outside i dont know why but i did get a little annoyed but second night was great. just your average hotel but i will def. stay there again

I have stayed there twice for work and I found that everyone was very friendly and accommodating

I read reviews about this hotel prior to booking. Many complained about noise from highway. It was not bad at all. We did not hear it after 2 mins of being in the room. Service was better then expected. Room was clean. Breakfast was good.
