Hyatt Mission Bay Review
Very nice and professional staff, had a great time and found the hotel to have all we wanted. Food was a bit expensive there and breakfast arrangements a little more difficult but not too bad.

Buy some of your own food and drinks to save money and time. The Red Marlin was excellent food but for a family can be expensive for all your meals.

Excellent!!
We thought that the hotel was great. The convenience of it was wonderful, too. We could walk to breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The pool was beautiful and so was the scenery (behind the hotel) on the water.

A great deal!
We went to this hotel for our honeymoon and were more than pleased with the great views of the marina, cozy rooms, attractive hotel, and helpful staff for the price that we paid. The staff were incredibly helpful while answering our questions and even sent us a free bottle of champagne and truffles to our room that was on the house in honor of our honeymoon. There were two things we didn't like though. One, the food and drinks at the two restaurants were pretty expensive. Alcoholic drinks were all $12 and were pretty skimpy in size. At the Red Marlin, the meals were generally over $30. If we would had known the drinks were that expensive, we probably would have picked another place to stay where we could have plenty of drinks at our hotel/at the pool for a lower price. Two, the location wasn't completely ideal. It's right in the marina, which is great if you want to rent bikes/boats/jet skis, but it was a good drive away from any beaches, shopping, or other attractions. Sea World was only a 15 minute walk away which was great, but it cost $25-30 for a taxi to get to the Zoo, downtown, or to a beach. If you plan to stay here, we would recommend buying a day pass on the bus, which is only $5 to keep the costs down. Overall though, wonderful place!

Relaxing Long Weekend
I thought this hotel was great. The staff was very friendly, most of the rooms had spectacular bay and ocean views. The pool area was fun! It was a short walk to the beach and a short drive to many of the cool beach towns.

My girlfriend and I fell in love with the town of La Jolla. I recommend everyone go up there to do a little shopping/beach going/dining. Definitely eat at Georges at the cove. The food was great and the service was impeccable!
