Humphreys Half Moon Inn & Suites

The staff was helpful, and the hotel had much to offer. A restaurant, night club, concerts (when available) views of the bay, and nice walking area. A little noisy though, walls were thin, and it was a "party" environment with people up late and loud.

It's like your own little piece of paradise, the area is beautiful, the people are so willing to help you with anything, very clean! I am recommending this place to all my family members and friends

Close to water. Island style. Can park close to your room. Rooms are built so they have private entances.Park across the street so you can relax and watch the boats. lots of resturants close by.

Great hotel, beautiful grounds, and near to everything we wanted to see. We stayed in the spacious oversized garden view and really enjoyed having the kitchen that we utilized for breakfast, and enabled us to keep snacks on hand for the evenings. We really enjoyed the coy ponds and the 2 Macaws on property. Our boys loved the large pool and we took advantage of the jacuzzi. There were two concerts during our stay, and we didn't feel that they interfered with our experience. Great location to visit Sea World, San Diego Zoo, and USS Midway.

Our family of 4 stayed here during our trip to San Diego, it was great! We stayed in the Oversized Garden View Suite and really enjoyed the opportunity to have the kitchen and make breakfast and snacks everyday. During our stay there were two different concerts but we didn't find they interfered with our enjoyment of the facility. Our boys really enjoyed the pool and we enjoyed the jacuzzi. We also enjoyed the coy ponds and two macaws. The grounds are beautifuly kept and we look forward to a return visit.

Clean facility and in a great location. Staff had great attitude and were very helpful. One of the best overall hotel experiences we have had.

Reasonable for a business stay, would be better if you had time to use pool, hot tub, putting green. Fun weekday evening lounge for the older generations.

The gardens, and Shelter Island location in San Diego are excellent. However, some problems with the hotel - We reserved and paid for our ten day stay over a month in advance through a travel company but when we arrived at the hotel, they did not have our booking on file. They sorted matters out with web based travel company we booked through, but the room we recieved was dirty and smelly. There was a big fermenting terd sitting in our room's toilet when we first walked in the door. GROSS!!! We asked the front desk for another cleaner room. It was similar but without the terd. We figured we would ask for an upgrade. The front desk agreed to provide one per availablity, but for an additional $50 per night. We took it hoping it would be an improvement. The upgrade room was bigger but again, not very clean. Further, we would regularily have to ask the staff to have the room cleaned, change bedding and supply toilet paper, towels and such. They even go cheap on the hot water. The shower water temp was always tepid, not hot. One can see that this was a nice place at one time. However, The rooms are clearly in need of maintenance. Hotel Management and some Staff require proper training. And yes the walls are very thin so if you need peace and privacy you might want to select another place On the positive side The gardens are very well kept, the location is great and the staff are pleasant and polite. .

Have been coming to Humphreys for years for their concerts. First time as a hotel guest. Good sized room, clean, quiet. Large pool and hot tub. I work out - fitness room small but adequate to get the job done with a great view of the marina. Close to some great local dining and easy access to all of San Diego. Avoid the hustle and crowds of being in the heart of the city or tourist zones - stay at Humphreys!

The staff was friendly and welcoming. Before I arrived, I called to make sure they knew I would be arriving late, and the girl who answered the phone was extremely friendly and helpful. Room service was prompt, and all staff I came in contact with went out of their way to help me with whatever I needed. The room was clean and comfortable. I will definitely return!
