The bathtub was dirty and the shower was cold, but the staff was simply excellent once we found the RIGHT Howard Johnson's. If they'd adjust the water & clean the tub, it's otherwise a fine place to stay if you're doing something at the university, as I was. The staff was superb! (They may even have made these improvements if I had bugged them about it.) OH: and it was a SMOKING ROOM with a QUEEN BED, when we asked for non-smoking and a KING bed. Argh...

Good for quick local getaway
Had a great experience, just looking to escape on the other side of town at a decent rate. This place was exactly what I was looking for. Friendly staff, they also let me check out an hour later, I had the wrong time and they were completely cool about it. That was a huge plus for me! Clean room, fridge, microwave, WiFi.. Sweeeet

DISPLEASED
The good, the bad, and the really ugly
This hotel was not what we expected. It looked ok online, but the room was one of the worst we had seen. We didn't stay but 30 min, and left to find another hotel.
