Clean, comfortable, and affordable!
We were pleasantly surprised with the friendly and professional staff at this hotel. The room was clean, updated and comfortable. Close to lots of restaurants, shops, and the airport. Would definitely stay there again. Thank you!!

We ate dinner at a place called "Yummy Buffet". I know it sounds corny, but it was amazing!. Clean, beautiful and really was 'yummy"! Asian and American food, even included prime rib and baby back ribs that were delicious!

Had a great time
I was in San Diego for an academic conference. While there are certainly nicer places to stay, I was very happy with with the room for what I had to pay. Room was clean, large and then bed was super comfy. While the immediate area isn't that great, it is close to almost everything. Would totally recommend it.

Overall, the hotel is what is to be expected for the price. The room was clean, had a good free breakfast and was in a good location to Sea World, Old Town, and downtown.

convenient stay
Nice location that is convenient to a lot of items- MCRD, SEA WORLD,AIRPORT, OLDE TOWN. Room was clean and adequate sized. On site laundry was a plus. Short walk to Walgreens for sundry items- nice. Room temperature thermostat was great. Would recommend.

One Night Airport
Everything was as advertised including free shuttle to airport and free breakfast. Staff was excellent and room was clean with microwave and refer. Would stay here agin. Thanks

My review of Howard Johnson Inn San Diego Sea World
The rooms were Ok. We did have a few problems, but after my husband had a fit and argued with them they did correct the issue. One of our rooms did have a small amount of money taken. We were never in the room in the day time, but when we retired at night it was comfortable and we did sleep well. The beds were fairly comfortable and the noise level was low.

Get what you paid for
This hotel is exactly what you paid for. Nothing fancy.....room is ok but the door was hard to open...and there is not elevator to the 2nd floor. But for te price....what can you ask for. At least the breakfast was ok.

Nothing Flashy - A Solid SD Choice
This is one of any number of Hotels in the Sports Arena area. Gotta face the facts that Downtown and Mission Bay are just too pricey. The area's not much to look at. The rooms are fine, nothing special. On the plus side, they are central to everything, very friendly and the restaurant is quite good. The morning breakfast seemed popular for the families.

This is as close as you can get to Mission Bay/Sea World at an affordable price. For me, that meant Robb Field/Ocean Beach.
