The hotel provides the following complimentary services: airport pickup/dropoff, shuttle rides to/from some tourist attractions, daily buffet breakfast, internet access in the guestroom, computer use at the Business Center (located at the Lobby near the Front Desk), coffee/tea facilities in the guestroom and at the Lobby, ice from the vending machine on every floor. Guest Laundry is located at M-1 level (same level as the breakfast room). Indigo Cafe is in the hotel premises. St. Joseph Cathedral (catholic) is four short blocks away. If you like a good walk, within walking distance you will find the trolley, Gaslamp Quarter, Horton Plaza, PETCO Park, Convention Center, etc. If you have limited time, if you do not drive or decide not to drive, you could take the hop on/hop off Old Town Trolley Tour to see San Diego and Coronado Island. You could spend an entire day at the San Diego Zoo. If you are a museum lover, there are 15 museums at Balboa Park. If you like to shop, you could go to the Horton Plaza (5 levels of shopping) and Seaport Village.

Happily surprised with nice new furniture. Was great to have a balcony and minifridge. Front desk staff and shuttle driver very friendly and informative.

My daughter graduated law school, and I stayed at this property while celebrating. It was clean and the staff was very helpful. I highly recommend it!

The hotel is on the far inland edge of downtown and there's not much to do in the immediate area. However it's easy to get almost anywhere in S.D. from there. My room was fine, it had a balcony with a distant harbor view. Free amenities are great: breakfast, internet, transport to/from the airport. All staff were super friendly.

I was there to attend a 3-day seminar. The staff was very courteous. The room was great. It was close enough to restaurants and transportation. I think for the price I got, I can't ask for anything better.

Room was clean, great downtown location especially if you are going to an event at El Cortez,breakfast was great, price was reasonable,

Six of us booked two rooms at this hotel for Comic-Con. The lobby and hotel in general were both very clean and orderly. The staff were helpful, and housekeeping did a fantastic job. The hotel was a block and a half away from the closest shuttle stop (at the Sheraton Suites). Otherwise it was about a 13 block walk to the convention center, mostly downhill. This meant walking back in the evening was mostly uphill - fairly important after a long day of walking around the convention center. The rooms were spacious and had a couple nice perks, like a walk-in closet in one. The bathrooms were both a bit small, but had adequate room. Channel selection on the TV was average, and the TV itself wasn't anything fancy. Important note: the wireless internet service was garbage. At best, the speeds I was getting were 512 kbps. You'd be better off using a cell phone network than the in-house wireless internet.

The staff was exceptionally helpful. The breakfast was good and they had plenty of choices available even at 9 am.
