Nice hotel
Room was clean. The breakfast was good and the shuttle service was very nice. Took us to the zoo and told us that we could take a cab back and be reimbursed. It is a bit of a walk to the Gaslamp District.

Not knowing the area, hotel was further away from tourist areas than I would have preferred. The facility was nice; breakfast was decent. The best part of the stay, by far, was the helpfulness and friendliness of the staff. From airport pick-up to airport drop-off, everyone we encountered from driver to front desk personnel was as warm and helpful as possible.

HIE Downtown SanDiego
The place was great, room great, people great, but it was advertised as .12 miles from the Convention Center and it was farther than that taking us longer to walk than expected.

Quick Vacation to SD - Good Place to Stay
This hotel met all of my expectations. I only stayed for two nights, but was satisfied with everything this hotel had to offer. Everything downtown was within walking distance. The shuttle service to the airport and other destinations was a big plus. Overall an above average experience and a good value!

Serves the purpose
Hotel was clean and walkable to most downtown bars and attractions. i feel the hotel shuttle is a bit mis-advertised, it will only take you to/from the airport and to the zoo. Breakfast was really nice. Staff was always friendly and helpful.

A little something to be desired
This is a great hotel for the location but that is about all. The bed was extremely uncomfortable and the pillows were worse. I asked for new firmer pillows, as the ones that were on the bed when first arrived, felt like they were 25% full and offered no support. When the new pillows arrived they were not any better. We stayed on the first floor and all night we heard homeless people that were camped out underneath our window. Luckily the window was about 8 feet from the sidewalk as its on a hill. The main elevator in the hotel did not work. It seemed confused as several times it passed us and went to another floor and even stopping on our floor but the doors never opened. We had to use the outside parking elevator for everything. I was impressed with the continental breakfast. Score there.
