Holiday Inn Express SAN DIEGO AIRPORT-OLD TOWN

easy check in convienent location to airport and cruise ship dock noisey freeway right there but room was quiet helpful staff

We arrive to the hotel very tired after driving several hours from north of LA, the staff were very nice and helpfull, didn't wait in line and checked in very fast. The rooms were very clean and nice the beds were very comfortable. Very close to old downtown San Diego, I would recommand this hotel to every one.

The Comfort Inn Old Town in San Diego Ca. was better than expected for cost, location, very helpful and thoughtful staff, and cleanliness. The room was well equipped for comfort and more Hi-Tech than I expected. I would stay again.

The Comfort Inn was a great value. The rooms were a decent size, clean and comfortable. The staff was very friendly. When we had a problem with our card key a maintanence work immediately took care of it. It is a quick walk to Old Town - plenty of great restaurants and shops. The convenience store in the lobby was great - snacks, sandwichwes even bottles of wine. We rented a car and it is very easy access to the freeway and the free parking is a nice perk. We took a cab downtown and it was only $12 so very convenient to the downtown area if you do not want to drive. There are also trolleys and trains in Old Town. The only drawback was that the fitness center was closed for renevations. Other than that it was a great stay.

For an otherwise very nice motel, it has the unfortunate nuisance of backing up to Interstate 5. If you have a room on that side, sleep is a problem. If you can get a room on the street side, you might be all right. Absolutely no other complaints.

Comfort Inn Airport at Old Town, San Diego was clean and comfortable, the staff friendly and very helpful and the location was just what we had expected. The rooms were equipped with a small refrigerator and microwave, which was most advantageous for snacks, etc. There was also internet connection in the room, as well as the lobby. As conveniently located as it is (adjacent to Intersate 5), our room faced the freeway and the traffic noise never abated, making sleep difficult for some. Ear plugs might be recommmended for light sleepers. The continental breakfast was adequate, with many choices. The quality wasn't outstanding, but satisfactory. Certainly for families with young children it would work very well. All in all, we had a good trip and appreciated the fine service we received.

The Comfort Inn Airport At Old Town had a comfortable bed, a tasty and convenient continental breakfast (always enough), clean rooms and facilities, a helpful friendly staff who appeared to take pride in their work, a conveninent store that is very necessary and useful, an airport shuttle, hot showers, and overall it is a good price for what you receive. However, the location may be a hindrance to some. If you rent a car or are savvy enough to use the public transit system, you will be fine. One rail stop is about 0.5mi. away and the Old Town Transit Center is at least 1mi. away (opposite directions). If you're looking for prime location with a view...not for you. The neighborhood and public transit stops could be questionable at night, but worked fine for us during the day (we usually got back by 7-8pm). Old Town is about 1/4mi-1/2mi away and there are a few restaurants (lot of Mexican cuisine), but that's the only area close for a quick biite. Oh, and ask for a room away from the highway..we didn't hear any traffic.

the hotel was very clean & nice. Although it's not as close to the trally as the claim.

The Hotel was very convient to Old Town. They picked us up at the Air Port and brought us to the ship we were sailing on the following day and on our return trip the picked us up at the ship and brought us back to the air port for our flight home. The personnell was very helpful. he rooms were clean. The continential breakfast was more than adequate and good selection. We had access to a computer to confirm our return air reservations. We were pleased with our selection.

I was very pleased with the cleanliness and comfort of the room. The front staff was very helpful and friendly. The complimentary breakfast in the morning was a great start to the day.
