Holiday Inn Express SAN DIEGO AIRPORT-OLD TOWN

We picked this hotel for the location being close to the airport, Old Town, the zoo and Sea World. The hotel had a shuttle and the drivers were great. We took the regularly scheduled shuttle to the zoo and Sea World. The hotel is located right next to the Pacific Highway. The rooms next to the highway had a lot of road noise. After one night in that room we asked to be moved across the hall. The rooms next to the highway had two beds but the other side of the hotel had only one bed rooms. That worked for us and the rest of the stay was much quieter. The staff was fabulous! Our request to be moved was handled quickly and politely. The shuttle drivers were professional and kind. The front desk staff was helpful with suggestions and directions.

hotel was great, staff were great breakfast was very good free shuttle to the base, old town and zoo the drivers were all very nice and helpful even picked us up at airport ,could'nt been any better.

Overall a good experience. The parking is not the best but hey it is San Diego.

During our stay they were doing some construction right outside our window, so i asked to switched rooms which was no problem. The rooms are nice and fully upgraded, the bed was very comfortable, the bathroom was nice and the AC was a little old fashion and broke the last night, parking is free, the pool was heated, and lastly the complimentary breakfast was good is your basic breakfast menu and it's served from 6am-10am. Overall, we enjoyed the stay and would definitely stay there again!

NO PLAY AREA FOR CHILDREN.

After returning from Mexican Riviera cruise, we spent a couple extra days in San Diego before returning home. The Comfort Inn Airport at Old Town is in a great location - very convenient to Old Town (walking distance), close to downtown and airport, and just a few minutes away from Balboa Park and the San Diego Zoo. Our room was larger than normal. Bathroom had a nice shower 'stall' with two shower heads (each end), but only one door. You had to careful not spray water into the bathroom! The TV was on the desk so it was difficult to use the desk and the TV at the same time. There was a separate satellite box apart from the TV and the remote only operated the satellite box. Front desk had to explain how to operate the TV. King-sized bed was comfortable. Hotel offers very good shuttle services - to airport, cruise terminal, downtown, old town, zoo. The continential breakfast was good, but not spectacular - they need a more space and a little better selection would be nice. Besides waffles, they have cereal/milk, danish and muffins, bagels/bread for toasting, boiled eggs, juice, coffee/tea and limited fresh fruit selections. They have an onsite laundry with coin-operated washers (3) and dryers (2) and sell laundry detergent in a small onsite store. We had rental car and parking in underground garage was very tight. Overall, we felt the hotel was a good value and a good choice for our stay.

The hotel is centrally located for easy access to many parts of San Diego and actually was close enough to Old Town for a great afternoon walk. The value is excellent, with breakfast included and free parking. The beds were extremely comfortable and the wall mounted TV was great, so we enjoyed the Super Bowl game just settled in the hotel room. And the hotel even has a little store, so we were able to get snacks easily for the game. Wonderful experience!

very clean ,pretty relaxing and quiet . I was there for my grandsons's graduation from Marine Corp basic , went to Corando Island and to the Ocean lots . very nice trip my stay was great and I enjoyed it very much ,I would stay there again.

Easy access parking, hard to find in the area. It is right on the freeway , close to the airport, quite noisy, smoggy.
