High-rise luxury along San Diego Bay
When the Hilton San Diego Bayfront opened in 2008, the property quickly became one of the tallest hotels in San Diego. Today, the glass-and-steel edifice towers over the Bay itself, offering guests spectacular views of the entire city. The property features PURE Allergy-Friendly guestrooms for visitors with allergies, a 24-hour fitness room, a heated outdoor pool and a full-service spa onsite. Odysea, one of three on-site restaurants, spotlights American dim sum and creative cocktails.
Highlights
  • High-rise tower offers fantastic views of San Diego
  • PURE Allergy-Friendly guestrooms for visitors with allergies
  • Dine on American-style dim sum at Odysea, one of three on-site restaurants.

Mini-Vaca

The room was nice, but nothing to write home about. It was pricey, but didn't even have a small refrigerator. Food is expensive in San Diego, so it would have been nice to keep the leftovers. We went on a tour of San Diego, which was nice ... my only real complaint is the car rental place that gave me a car that was not only beat up, but it also had expired tags.

Money-saving tip: Short drive from hotel

Use the public trans to do your own touring of the city. You can use the trolley and the bus system to get around to the tourist hot spots such as Balboa Park, La Jolla, Pacific Beach, the Gaslamp District and Hillcrest.

Brand New Hotel

Hotel is a brand new construction, a tower with a huge lobby were staff is dressed in a Star Trek style! or maybe like beauticians? Anyhow, the hotel is spotless, located in downtown, in an area that will probably become more attractive over the years.

It's a short walk to dining in Downtown, and a car ride to get to Hillcrest where the real action is.

May be five star minus 3

Arrived on Friday and found internet service was not working in room.Call IT service no go. Reported service not working 3 or 4 times and each time I was told someone would be up. No one ever came up or brought up a new cable like IT had suggested. Nor was I offered another room. Breakfast at the restaurant came cold twice. But the grill was great everytime I patronized them.

Loved the Bay Front

We stayed 2 nights and the hotel was wonderful. We had a corner room looking out over the bridge and the bay. Even though part of the hotel overlooks the shipyard, the view was still spectacular. Staff was very friendly, and check-in was a breeze. The room was a little smaller than I expected, and the bathroom was just okay, but everything was decorated nicely. The air-conditioner was a bit noisy, but the mattress was very comfortable. Location and price were great. I would definitely stay at this hotel in the future.

Excellent Hotel

This hotel was so amazing and accomidating. We traveled with our dog which they welcomed with open arms. They delivered a dog bed and bowl free of charge to the room. The rooms were very nice and clean and the property was spectacular. Conveniently located near gaslamp district and the harbor.
