For Business Travelers: Quiet & near Conference Center, but awkward and AIrport
The Bayfront is at the far end of the San Diego Conference Center and across from the Gaslamp Quarter and PetCo park, a few miles from the airport. in that regard, it's well-situated and has everything you'd expect from a Hilton in terms of business services. You will have to walk a bit to the front of the conference center, but it is more quiet. It's a large hotel and the entrances are awkward for pedestrians. Three restaurants are inside, but otherwise you will also be walking a bit for the Gaslamp quarter too. Our room was standard, although the handicap accessibility meant few shelves in the bathroom and an awkward shower (either too high or too low). Air on the 20th floor was very dry at night. No fridge. But it was clean and WiFi worked well. Outside heated saltwater pool with jacuzzi and cabanas was beautiful as long as the music wasn't blasting. I'd give it 3.5 stars if I could, and probably only stay there again if the price was competitive.

Hilton Bay Front for a Staycation
I live here in San Diego so I'm a little spoiled for the views but he Bay Front location is just wonderful. Great for a stroll down to Sea Port Village or downtown/gaslamp district. This would count as our third staycation here so they must be doing something right. Can't figure out what about their beds & sheets are the most comfortable I've experienced in any hotel save for maybe J.W. Marriott. Their downside is the fees for this & that are too high and you get a little feeling of being nickeled and dimed if you want something anything....e.g. parking, room service is too high, wi-fi, etc

Nice Hotel
Nice clean hotel in a great location. All staff were friendly and helpful. Room service was hot and tasty. Only thing I can think of is it costs $4.50 for a 20 oz plastic bottle of water in the room, sheesh!

Bay View Ripoff
The room was grossly overpriced. I've had better rooms at a motel ^. Ontop of the price, I was stuck for a $27.00 per day parking fee. Never again will I stay at this place.

Good Value, Great Location
We love going to San Diego as well as this hotel. it's in a very good location. Once you arrive there you never really need to take your car out. You can walk to everything from Petco Park, great places to eat, shops, movie theaters, the mall, Seaport Village and more. It's the last hotel on the waterfront and you have a great view of the bay and the Coronado Bridge. A couple of issues this trip, it was really crowded and they must have put away their lounge chairs for the winter, plus they kept running out of towels at the pool. They would bring out old small hotel towels. The other issue this time was (this hotel is pet friendly) someones pet decided to go to the restroom all along the area leading to the pool and even a short distance inside the pool area. I notified the staff and they cleaned it up right way.. Sometimes hotel guess are not very considerate of others!

Weekend ball game
My husband and I shared a quick night away in San Diego. We came to watch the Padre's game. This hotel was lovely and suited our needs perfectly. Close to the ball park, a good value, and had plenty of restaurants/nightlife within walking distance. Also the hotel staff were exceptionally polite at check-in.
