Not what I expected at all

Had a horrible experience at this hotel. Not even close to worth it. Room did not feel comfortable. Was so noisy at night that I could barely sleep. Smelt like weed. Just not a cosy, comfy, and luxurious environment. I came to San Diego for a one night vacation and spent a lot of money for a one stay. I expected to have a luxurious and more then comfortable stay, however, it was the complete opposite and I would never pay that much if I new what I was getting into. Overall horrible hotel experience. Location was the only positive.

It was alright, nothing fancy

Some of the staff were really nice, others not so much. The room was small for a "studio", however, it's location was wonderful! I wouldn't return unless the price was too good to pass up! The check-in was late (4pm) and the check-out was early (11am), not a fan of either, it doesn't take 5 hours to clean a room.

For the young

Nice hotel, quick Valet, awesome shower, nice gym, comfy bed. Location is prime if you want Gaslamp or access to Petco Park. The TV had some issues and the room was pretty loud as it was above the bar area but overall a pretty good place!

Dining tip: Short drive from hotel

Eat at Filippes but go early since the wait can get to be very long! Skip Extraordinary Desserts - it's over priced and not very good actually.

Weekend getaway

We had a nice stay at this hotel. The location is perfect. We came for our friend's birthday party. The only thing we didn't like was the food at Mary Jane's. We come to SD a couple of times a year. Definitely going to stay here again!

40 and feeling old.

We checked in on a Sat. evening at 10:30 and it was chaos! Lobby felt like we were in a Vegas nightclub. Husband & I felt very old a 40ish… maybe there was a prom or something. Average age looked like 20. At least we got upgraded to a suite because of the traumatized looks on our faces. Room was beautiful and quiet despite all the craziness. Well designed and had a great wraparound outdoor patio with great views. Might try a Hard Rock again when in the mood to rock it up like 20 somethings. :)

amazing location, great price

We stayed here for the first few days of our California coast honeymoon. Location and price couldn't be beat. However- the only parking they offer is $38 a day. Park yourself next door for $15 a day. We stayed in a king suite. The lady at check-in found us one with a balcony and view and upgraded us to that. Mary Jane's sticky bun was also amazing and HUGE.
