Great hotel but not for toddlers!

We arrived at 10pm and the music was very loud! My 19 month old didn't appreciate it much. Great hotel if you are looking for the hot spot to spend with friends but not a good place for little ones.

Sweet!

Very friendly and accommodating staff. First class amenities, HD TV. Immaculate decor. Great Gas Lamp location. Attention to detail is second to none. I was asked what kind of music I liked at check in. When I got to the room that music was playing. A great experience.

Horrible Customer Service

Horrible concierge service where you are put on VIP or some sort of guest list for bar/restaurant/night club and when you get to the so-called bar/restaurant/night club you are made to stand in a long line and have to pay cover of $20/person although you are spending a lot of money staying at the rooms in their hotel and the so-called bar/restaurant/nite club are in their hotel! Hotel only appears to be interested in money and not service for the money you are spending! Avoid this hotel if you want to get your money's worth!

Great place if you like to PARTY!!

Hotel was very cool, but you MUST be in the mood to party the whole time! This isn't a place to go if you would like to relax. But, it is in a great location walking distance to many restaurants, nightlife and more.

good party

the hotel and staff was very nice the only thing i did not like about it was the valet parking price and everything was more pricey then staying at the palms or any other hotel in vegas. Good party atmosphere thought had a great time.

nice if you want to party 24 x 7

We stayed at the hotel because it was new and sounded like a fun hotel from the description. The room was pretty nice but kind of small. They did not have a tub - only a shower (which after a marathon would have been nice). Our first room had a nice view but was 8 flights above their night club. We could hear the music all the way up into our room. At 10:15 pm we were moved to the other side of the hotel. Apparently there was a night club their as well. The music lasts until 2:00 am every night. So we didn't get much sleep while we were there. LET'S TALK FEES. This place is the king of them. When we checked out we had an additional $140 bill to pay just in night fees and taxes. If you go to any restaurant there you get an automatic 10 - 15% fee. The Spa is 20%. Then they add tax. A bottle of water was $9 plus 20% plus tax! I got take out from the Japanese restaurant their that cost $60 for 3 small plastic containers (and of course I had to pay a gratuity of 20% just to walk down from my room and pick it up at the restaurant). AND we were still hungry! We ordered a bowl of oatmeal that ended up costing us $20 after tax and fees. It would have been cheaper to stay at a nicer hotel without the fees - there are several so shop around first. If you are looking to party this is the hotel for you. Every night was a big event at their clubs. The down stairs was always crowded with people making out and was VERY loud. If you are like us and wanted to relax and see the sites this is NOT the hotel for you. They are very close to the Convention Center but they are not the only hotel that is. I see their prices going down in the near future.

Just ok

I reserved a king suite and at check-in was told they only had double-queens. The front desk person did not even try to explain. The hotel was not busy. It seemed like she just didn't want to change the room. Once we got to the room there was supposed to be music of our choice playing but, it was jammed and didn't work. They sent a technician to come fix the tv. We ordered room service. It was supposed to take 20 min but we received it over an hour after ordering. For the price I don't think it's worth it. There are no nice views. It's nothing like the one in Vegas. Other than that it was clean and nice.

Hard Rock Gaslamp

Fantastic location. Just off the Trolley, across from Convention Center, near night life and restaurants. Hip, trendy, luxury, young. A great way to make a business trip a little more fun.
