Fantastic location and service!

I was reluctant to stay at a Hard Rock. I read the reviews which were good so decided to give it a try. I was overly impressed with the hotel, features and level of service at the Hard Rock and would definitely stay there again and try another Hard Rock elsewhere. The staff was top notch, fun and professional. The decor and comfort of the hotel and room were great.

Ostera was a great restaurant. Fantastic steak, crab cake and Mahi Mahi. If in Hillcrest, eat at Arrivederci for phenomenal Italian food.

Great!

We just stayed at the hard rock in SD and I have to tell you it was great! We had 2 suites booked which were not ready when we arrived since we arrived early we checked in out luggage and went for a walk, within 5 min of leaving the hotel I received a phone call letting me know my room was ready assuming we would receive a call shortly for the other room.. About 4 hours went by and no phone call.. It was already past 4:00pm so we were a little upset, long story short we spoke to the manager, they magically had a room ready within minutes and had a bottle of champagne ready in each room which was pretty nice. OVERALL I will be coming back its nice, very well centered and convinient.

Hotel was in a great area for enjoying shops and great dining... especially at Lou and Mickeys directly across the street! Best lobster tail ever! The hotel was very modern and I had a blast. The only downfall is the hotel does not offer bath tubs in their rooms unless you are booking the extremely expensive suites that no average person can afford. Being an advid tub person this was a real downer for the trip. Other than that, great atmosphere and night life. The spa located at the hotel was a nice touch..pricy, but very well worth it.

It Was Awsome!!!

IT was a very nice room. The bed was fantastic, the shower heads were interesting and fun. Since we got the reguler suite not the deluxe it's balcony was nice. The view was not the best but no complaints about that. The more awsome part about this room is that you get VIP in their bar downstairs. Unfortunetly "Float" was closed because of the weather, so that kida affected the trip. But overall it was a very fun trip and an exelent night.

Amazing!r

We had a wonderful time. Loved the hot tub and pool, as well as the rain shower. We were close to everywhere we needed to get, there was no need to rent a vehicle. Tons of night life, as well as day time entertainment around and inside the hotel. Great experience, friendly staff.

Funky and Fun!

Hard Rock Hotel has some nice amenities that set it apart from the rest. My husband was able to "borrow" a Gibson electric guitar for the length of our stay to play in our hotel room. The rooms are equipped with music that the staff programs to your choice, plus there are ipod stations if you want to bring your own. The fitness room isn't spectacular, but it did the trick and they have TVs on all of their cardio machines, which is nice. It was too chilly to check out the pool, so I can't tell you about that. The hotel is in the heart of the Gaslamp District, so it's close to all of the action. Staff is fantastically friendly. You'll enjoy your stay!

Money-saving tip: Not Applicable

Buy a bus pass your first day there! You can take the bus over to Coronado Island and it's much cheaper than taking a ferry, plus the buses run more frequently and are faster than a ferry. The Imperial Transit Center is only about three blocks from the Hard Rock, on the other side of Petco Ballpark.
