One Night In SD
The hotel lobby, pool, and dining couldn't be better the staff is very nice as well. Our room however lacked air conditioning the mini fridge did not work at all and the toilet had brown (water stains i hope) through the entire inside. They did however comp us a free future stay but at almost 200 bucks a night it was not even worth 1/4 of that.

From the front desk, to the cleaning staff, to the Postcards restaurant staff at breakfast, we had very accommodating experiences with all the staff. The room was well appointed with beautiful crisp, clean white sheets and pillows. Bathroom was immaculate. We were very pleased.

Short drive from hotel
Old Towne is worth seeing, and it's fun to watch the ladies in front of the restaurants making tortillas by hand. Beware of the Cold Stone Ice Cream store! They charge $5 MINIMUM for an ice cream, even if you order a teeny kiddie cone with no topping. I gave them a $20 for 4 kiddie cones and was shocked when they asked me for 68 cents MORE. Counter girl explained that they are in a tourist area so they charge more.

Helpful staff, hotel a little old
The room was clean, comfortable, but a little on the old side. Bathroom sink drain partially plugged. No apolstered chair, just a desk chair. Fitness center could use some updating. Pool area was nice. Hotel supplied airport shuttle would be helpful.

Nice location and renovated rooms
The only problem was the $12 fee that was tacked on by the hotel for parking! That was disappointing. Otherwise a nice location and clean and quiet hotel off the freeway but without the noise. Newly renovated.

Great Room
Sea World is so conveniently located. It is even easy to get to downtown San Diego via the 163 or by using the surface streets up the hill into Hillcrest. We ended up going to the Zoo also. Our room was very comfortable: the king size bed and linens were soft; a refrigerator was included. We were on the ground level, so if you open the curtains, the cars were right there. Two key cards were provided for easy access to the rooms and the building. The side table lights had electrical outlets; convenient for plugging in my Iphone and Macbook Pro. There is a $12 charge per night for parking. You pay for "incidentals" when you check out. The buildings were two stories, no elevator. We did not consider eating their breakfast ($9 for juice and pastry). I did not use the pool or any other amenities, but I would recommend this place. The room was larger and nicer than the Super 8 we stayed in for a night at almost double the price.

Lots of places to eat along the 8 and Hotel Circle. Just go over the hill to get to Hillcrest and then into downtown San Diego; very convenient and you don't have to take the freeway.

Amazing Service!
We visited to celebrate our anniversary and visit the zoo. The hotel room was small to first assumption, but ended up being just enough space. I must say the service was AMAZING! All the staff were very helpful and were very friendly. We downgraded our king-size bed to a double and they comped us wonderfully for our participation.
